This place is fantastic. We’ve driven by it so many times and finally tried it today. The service was friendly, quick and efficient and the food was absolutely wonderful. The portions were large and filling. Both the jerk chicken and the oxtail were fantastic but the oxtail was our favorite. Lots of flavor but not overpowering. Although it is a food truck, they have done a great job of providing outdoor seating with shade. It feels like a restaurant. As we drove home I kept saying… man, that was good! We will be back.

Honestly so far my favourite jerk pork in Tampa, the others are so over done and dry almost like chewing straw. This was juicy and all the flavours were there; I was satisfied. I didn’t dine in but I do really like the authentic feel of the seating area, it felt like home. It could use some fans but I’m not sure if that’ll help with the Tampa heat!

This was my first time here. I tried the curry goat yellow rice with mixed veggies and a few oxtails along with some carrot juice and everything was very delicious thank you! I will definitely return with my family ❤️

Awesome food! I visited Island Jerk Shack for lunch, a couple months while in Tampa for business, and it was so solid, I contacted them to cater a party I had recently. They did not disappoint! Everything was freshly prepared and full of island flavor. All of my guests raved about the food for the rest of the week!

I was not expecting much but I was shocked when I stepped out of the car only with the jerk smell, the deliciousness was in the air. I ordered the oxtail and it was good, a little pricey but delicious, my favorite thing was the ginger pineapple juice omg that was amazing . I’ll keep trying the menu once I’m back in the area.

Food was amazing. Got myself a jerk chicken portion with rice and beans and steamed veggies. The spices were spot on. Enough heat to tingle your taste buds but flavorful with every bite. I’m glad I got a large because that chicken was obsessive .
