This is an awesome spot to pick up some food. We have a camp out here, and when we don’t know where to eat, we have island landing to pick up. This place has the best burgers and shrimp Poboys. I encourage y’all to try it.

The Island Landing has the BEST fried shrimp that I have ever eaten, and I have dined nation wide. Louisiana gulf shrimp are the best, so let’s narrow it down to the state; trust me when I tell you that you won’t experience better fried shrimp anywhere. It’s not a fancy place, however the service was prompt, polite and friendly. If you ever find yourself in False River, don’t miss the opportunity to experience the best fried shrimp on Earth!

The “Washateria” is horrible today. I’ve used their washers and dryers a few years ago while in the area. Half the machines, especially the dryers do not work and the machines, folding area and floors were filthy. Oh, and no restrooms either.
