Tried to give them a second chance after not eating here for months but once again they mess up ordered two curry chicken dinners for me and my husband in both of our meals the chicken was undercooked mushy texture and pink. The lady who works the register had an attitude also like she didn’t want to be at work just because it was crowded. Don’t get the triple mix drink I thought I was getting the drink similar to the lady I saw who had a lemonade color at the bottom a peach color on top but what they served taste like it had ginger in it . Will not be eating here ever again the food is no flavor just spicy and I couldn’t enjoy all of my chicken. Save your money for quality food, not here.

I typically patronize this business but I’ve always preferred the original location in the Windsor Mill area. I went to purchase a late lunch today but came back with nothing. I ordered my food around 6:20p. The cashier Shanique said it would be 15 mins. I paid, I went to the bathroom, I went across the street to the store, came back & still no food. I asked was my food ready at 6:41p, the young lady said she would go check. About 2 minutes later she appeared from the back & said 5 more minutes. Of course 5 more minutes passed & still no food. I asked for a refund because now I have to get back to work. I originally paid with a card but when she handed me my receipt the refund says cash tendered, I never received any cash. I also didn’t receive an apology, an offer of something that was already ready for the inconvenience like a pattie, just smug looks of “oh well not my problem.” I called back to the location to speak with the manager. The young lady who answered said the manager, Fiona, doesn’t have a schedule so we can’t tell when she comes in & or when you’ll be able to speak to her. Customer service is terrible. Its so disheartening, disappointing, & a huge inconvenience because now I have to take the time to track down the manager & I still have to go back to that location because I doubt if I’ll be receiving my refund. Just one big mess & all I ordered was plantains & a shrimp wrap! NEVER AGAIN

This is by far one of the best carribean restaurants I’ve been to; it was also first-time at this establishment, and the food was very good, and portions were really satisfying. The store was very clean and with great customer service.

I had a craving for some Caribbean food so I jumped on Yelp and found IslandQuizine. I took the time to read some of the comments and they all seemed positive so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived the restaurant was packed and that’s normally a good indication that the food is good. I order a small curd chicken and a large ox tail and a cat fish sandwich. I was a little disappointed about there serving portions but not surprised due to most Caribbean restaurants serving portions being a little smaller.

Honestly, I held off for like a year on this review, since I visit often. The food is okay and does the job considering I’m used to the Caribbean food in NY. But the service, my god. Literally every single time I interact with someone here, they’re rude. I’ve learned to just use DoorDash or Ubereats. Today I place a mobile order, 45 mins later my dasher tells me they said it won’t be ready for 30 mins, I know I ordered soup and it’s early so I get it, but still I called to get clarity so that I didn’t have the dasher just sitting and waiting when I could just cancel the soup. Wasn’t that deep. Instead the person on the phone wants to debate about what time they received my order. Mind you, I can wait, I don’t really care about the wait for fresh food, again, I don’t want the dasher to have to sit in that tiny restaurant if they don’t need to. I don’t understand why every single time someone in this location has to interact with people, they give you Attitude like you’re interrupting their day. I work in retail management as well and deal with people all day, if you don’t like what you do, then don’t do it. You don’t have to kiss butts but at least be courteous WHILE WORKING IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. It’s really not that hard. Anyways, food is good, but order it to avoid dealing with miserable people.

Not only did I have to deal with the servers nasty attitude I had to deal with burnt food as well smh. Customer service sucked today unfortunately. I was told I didn’t pay for something which I know I did and when they saw that I did IN FACT pay for the soup no apology was granted. Probably won’t go back.

This restaurant has missed the mark on authentic cuisine. I purchased curry chicken some time ago that was very tasty. My second order of food was over $100; provided dinner for my visiting family. The food was just OK on that day. This morning I ordered Ackee and Saltfish, my favorite dish, and it was beyond disappointing. $17 for the smallest portion of food with two tiny pieces of Saltfish. The Saltfish was not properly soaked to remove the salt and the Ackee was not cooked down enough and therefore sour. The fried dumplings were soft, but extremely oily. NEVER AGAIN.

24 dollars for Oxtail? Portion was a joke. I got 5 small pieces of meat, rice an cabbage. I was supposed get plantains but they weren’t included.
