Brought the red snapper and it definitely wasn’t Red Snapper. On top of that all the food was gritty like it wasn’t cleaned properly. Food was suppose to be done almost 20minutes before I arrived. I got there and had to wait in the car another 10 minutes. Idk who these people are in these reviews. I literally threw the fish in the trash. Never!!! Again!!! Spent $35 for nothing!!!

I received bad service from a man there awhile ago but I enjoyed the jerk chicken. 2nd visit the younger lady looked like she didn’t want to be there but I loved the curry chicken. The most recent visit there were 2 ladies in there that gave me great service. The ackee and saltfish was a nice experience.

I have to give it a 1 because we never even got drinks. We walked in and were “greeted” by a lady who seemed confused about why we were there. We indicated we wanted to dine in, and she had to check with someone in the kitchen. We asked if they were open for service (the open sign was on and the door was unlocked) and she acted like she was making an exception for us and proceeded to ask what we wanted without a menu or even seating us. The booths are not set up well; the space from the table to the seat is way too far. We moved to a 4-top that was against a wall, so it was seated for 2×2 which wasn’t enough space either. We made it work. We waited to be greeted by a server. Someone finally came after about 10 mins, and we had 1 person in the restroom, so we asked for her to come back in a bit. She never returned. After waiting for 20 minutes – with no employees in sight, we finally left. We were the only patrons with the exception of 1 lady picking up a to-go order. We were very excited about the food too, so this was disappointing.

Terrible service. Very rude and would not ever come back. Waitress has attitude for no reason and doesn’t even know the menu

The service was good but I can not say the same for the food. Everything was dry or over cooked. I love Curried meats, rice and peas, plaintains and cabbage. I tasted everything on my plate but I had to trash it. Sadly it just was not tasty. I’m happy I gave it a try.

Definitely the hangout spot especially after 8pm. The. Bartender is super personable and he made me something based on the flavors I told him I liked. The food is good too. I personally enjoyed the oxtail fries and my bestie had the fried wings and they were good af!!

I see that people are still complaining about the same old man. I was at this restaurant years ago and watched that old man get into it with a smaller guy for no reason. The guy was asking him something about a takeout order and the old man was just being rude. The small white guy was being polite at first when asking for the food. But the old man continued to be rude and arrogant. Finally the guy asked him. Why are you being rude to me? The old man told the guy to leave. So the guy said ok turned around and started walking towards the door but the old man was following him. The guy turned around and said hey man there’s no need to follow me. I’m leaving, the food isn’t even for me it’s for a friend. When they got by the door (old man continued to follow behind by about two feet all the way to the door) as the guy went to open the door the old man put his hand on his back. The white guy turned around and said Hey, man, don’t put your hands-on me. I’ll mess you up, the old man then proceeded to say you don’t know who I am ill mess you up. The white guy says ok have a nice day, then turns begins to open the door and the old man pushed straight pushed him out the door for no reason as hard as he could. As that boy got pushed from behind he turned into a straight savage turned around threw a leg kick followed by a right and a left. When I say that old man went flying I mean he went flying like he had 2 tickets to Mars for life. That old man hit a table with his feet higher than his body then hit the floor, then looked up confused as all could be trying to figure out what just happened in a matter of 2 seconds at most. As the white boy stood over the old man and looked down at him, the old man wiped his face and spit up more blood than a leaking faucet and what looked to be teeth. That white boy just looked at him said I told you don’t put your hands on me and I tried multiple times to leave peacefully but you couldn’t do that. Have a nice day and then walked out that door. I’ll never forget this, it was absolutely hilarious. I got to watch a real life Chappelle Show skit “When keeping it real goes wrong”. The old man thought the little white boy would be scared and ended up with a life lesson.

My husband and I come here often. Food is on point and the price is reasonable for the quality of food you get. I see a lot of reviews here about bad service. We’ve always had a good experience with the lady that runs this place. Back home 99% of the Caribbean restaurants you walk into and they greet you by kissing their teeth and they are usually out of everything lol. Iykyk I’ve actually gotten considerably better service here then the majority.

Lord, I am so disappointed that I drove 20 minutes for this ackee and saltfish! Maybe it’s because they were an hour away from closing time, idk, but what I do know is that the ackee and saltfish I was given was poor on the ackee and flavor. My cabbage and the ackee had a very strong vinegary taste, which is a first for me. The ackee was also a bit sweet, like ketchup had been used in conjunction with vinegar to season the dish. It also appears that the onions and peppers were supposed to make up for the lack of ackee in the dish. The saltfish was tough and it lacked the traditional salty tang that saltfish is known for. Very disappointed.
