We got in late and were looking for food. Google has this place open until 2am. Technically that is correct, but the “restaurant” closes at 10pm and they switch over to a nightclub. Service was a little slow because the waitresses got bombarded with 2 very large groups prior to our arrival. The food however is delicious and fresh. Was the best burrito I have had!

This place was a pleasant find. I wasn’t going to go due to the bad reviews. But I’m glad I went! It was great. LOVELY new place to relax, have some GOOD food, drinks, and chill out. The blonde bar tender, Linda is the BEST…so beautiful, sweet. well spoken and makes good drinks! Can’t wait to go back again! Give the place a try, you will be pleasantly surprised.

If this place could keep the same management for any amount of time that would be great. The times that I have come here are during club hours (10:30pm – 2am). The venue itself is very nice looking, comfortable and the music is definitely very good. This place has the potential to be one of the hottest spots in Va Beach. However, i personally have various issues. Starting with a night we were CHARGED to get into the CLUB. Just to find a family table WITH YOUNG CHILDREN seated and having dinner. IMO that should have NEVER happened. The hosting manager that sat us for our birthday party table was rude.Not to mention the confusion and lack of communication regarding birthday tables. Not once has any us celebrated a birthday here and received anything mentioned in the complimentary birthday package. Other than the table. Our waitress was not very knowledgeable when it came to drink availability. We would order drinks just to be told 15 mins later that its not something that is served. There is one bartender that is just unbelievably rude and will not acknowledge you if you’re not a man. The restrooms are never properly cleaned and stocked with paper towels and/or soap. Compared to other local bars and clubs, the drinks are over priced and watered down. Id say go at your own risk. Some nights are better than others, but its definitely not a packed out establishment.

It was fun, just went here last night. My main issue is the small number of bartenders for their very long bar. There was literally 2 bartenders in there on a busy Friday night. Waiting to get drinks took up most of our night it was really ridiculous. Also, their limes given with the tequila tasted strange! They tasted and felt old and dry, it wasn’t pleasant at all.

I absolutely LOVE Island Twist ! The Food is Amazing , The atmosphere is Everything. Unlike most places ; The security was nice as well as the wait staff. Me and my girls got a chance to speak with the Manager and Owner and they were both very polite and had a great sense of humor ! You can expect us to come back again soon !

This is a horrible place !!!! The security is rude , the food is disgusting and the club is always extremely boring and empty. Some friends and I came here from out of town and were treated horribly by security on both occasions when we entered the club. One white female security forced me and my friends to leave because she has no professionalism and rudely flashed lights in our faces. They charge $10 to enter this dry environment. A waitress praised us to get the “amazing” chicken but it was DRY and TASTELESS and I am shocked that this is a Caribbean place because no music played of that sort just trap music and the drinks are small and overpriced. Don’t waste your time coming here.

This place has the potential to be amazing. It isn’t run well. Or waitress was given the wrong drinks from the bartender on purpose. The guys in charge were walking around giving drunk girls more drinks. We thought about VIP seating but they only did it with cash and only 2 groups in VIP. Too bad because the place really could be a great place.

I enjoyed my meal here and did not get any complaints from the kids! I ordered a jalapeño burger and it was delicious. The herbs inside the burger was nice. I wanted to try an appetizer and they were out otherwise it was a nice restaurant and staff was nice as well.

The worst restaurant I have ever been too. I could give it no stars I would. We waited 15 minutes just to be seated, when their was. I one in the restaurant. After begin seated we then waited for someone to take our drink order and food order for about 25 minutes after asking someone to help us. Food was good but jerk chicken was a little too spicy. Currently were waiting on the checks. From the first time I have asked for the checks, it has been 37 minutes and counting. Would not recommend to anyone if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat. 0 STARS!!!!!

Nice atmosphere and decent jerk chicken, but that’s about it. My friends and I entered and they weren’t busy, the sevice was mediocre. We never got refills and 4 people got their food and completed it before the other 2 people got theirs. The coconut shrimp is “their specialty”, but it was soggy and the sauce didn’t help. I was also encouraged to get the mac ‘n cheese side item because it was “delicious”, far from the truth-it was bland. Find something else to eat so you aren’t forced to eat your food for the sake of not wasting money.
