I’ve been here two times. The first time I got sides. The sides were ok. The rice and peas were dry. The next time I went and ordered a small plate with garlic shrimp. No rice and peas this time. I ordered the Mac and cheese. I was given 5 lonely shrimp with a plate. And all my juice wasted in the bag. I asked about the shrimp and juice and I was told that the shrimp was made to order so there are no more and no more juice. It was the worst experience and they were not anxious to rectify my issue. As a matter of fact… they didn’t! I paid $18.75 for nothing.

Terrible service, ridiculous prices and old, dry food. The girl at the register never even says hello when customers walk in. We paid $23.50 for a large order of oxtails and received a small cup with only ONE whole oxtail. Both plates had only 2 tiny plantain slices and old, dry Mac and cheese. I asked about the Mac n cheese and they said it was just made this morning. If your Mac n cheese is that dry and gross after only a few hours then the wrong person is cooking it. The prices are robbery for the tiny amount of food you receive and the HORRIBLE customer service. If you can’t even open your mouth to say hello when a customer walks in then you should not be working in the front. This is beyond disappointing and we will never be back. Take your business to a restaurant that appreciates it.

Island Vibes is my top favorite restaurant in Nashville. The Jamaican food is always fresh and delicious. The reggae music always gives me good vibes when I arrive.

Absolutely wonderful! Food and service was great! If you haven’t tried the Jerk chicken, you must. Tuesdays are $10 jerk chicken days! And the mango juice is to go out of your way for! Thanks Arlene

This is the worse caribbean food I have ever had. I ordered the curry chicken and curry goat roti. It’s been 5 days since I had it and it’s still sending me to the bathroom. It didn’t taste good so I didn’t eat all of it but I guess it was enough. Don’t eat there.

Island Vibes is an excellent establishment. Their Veggie plate is delicious. Arlene is a terrific host. The nightlife on Fridays and Saturdays is both entertaining and laidback.

Let me start by saying I love goat. I have eaten a lot of goat before but never as delicious as this! In every way possible this goat was the best I had in my life. The portion size was huge, the meat tender, and minimal bones. The jerk wings were very good as well. They tasted like they were smoked for days. The jerk sauce on them was perfect amount of spice and heat. Cabbage and rice were very good. I would definitely be back. The staff was very friendly as well and always smiling.

As a cross country truck driver it’s very rare that I actually get to experience any food establishments outside of truck stops. I got delayed in Nashville and had been craving some GOOD carribean food. Looked up the reviews for Island Vibes and decided to check them out and I sure am glad I did!! I ordered the curry goat plate and added a beef pattie. Oh, my my my, they did not disappoint. The goat was so tender and the plantains so sweet and divine. One bite and I was back on the beautiful island of Jamaica. And, they weren’t stingy on their portion sizes!
