At the Island Way Grill, we’re all about fresh fish. Our boats make daily trips to the gulf where we retrieve fresh grouper, mahi, snapper and other local varieties. No long-line fish here-just hook, rod, and reel. If it’s any fresher, it is still in the gulf. We also have a variety of hand-cut steaks and so much more. Went here for dinner and my walk-in party of 3 was sat immediately by the nicest host staff I’ve seen. The outside deck alone the water was beautiful. Our waitress Hannah was so friendly and kind full of smiles. Our appetizers came out and were delicious and displayed so well. The fresh bread and oil was great. Our food was worth the wait. The steak and seafood was so fresh and tasty. Hannah always checked back and quickly got anything you needed. She was the best. Would recommend to everyone even family’s with kids. The general manager came over to the table and was super kind and friendly as well. She was very nice to ask where we were traveling from and about the food.

Was in Tampa for a day and decided to drive out to Clearwater to try out Island Way Grill. Location was great, service was great, and food was great! Our waitress Victoria, although being her first night serving, did a great job. She was very attentive, gave good recommendations, and was very kind throughout our experience.

What a beautiful night! I will say I had to give it only 4 stars with atmosphere because there is now a new building that blows 50% of the absolutely stunning view. I can for the view and food every time. The sunsets are beautiful on the deck and thankfully still pretty with the new building in the way but it’s a bit tacky looking. Our waitress went above and beyond with service. She also had amazing communication skills keeping us engaged in light hearted funny Convo as she would come and go from the table. Very attentive. She even made me an ice tea they didn’t have on the menu! It’s was only raspberry flavoring in tea but for her to go out of her way and hunt down the raspberry than make it herself…. That’s service! The food was delicious! I had sushi and cucumber salad (yum) and husband had the porkchop which was equally delicious. With all the quality of food going down at restaurants in the area… Island way grill still serves amazing food with one heck of a winning staff!

My family and I enjoyed the Easter buffet here while on Spring Break vacation. It was a splurge for us but every aspect was nothing less than top notch. We were promptly seated at our reservation time with a gorgeous view from the outside dining area, overlooking the water.

I had never been here before and was shopping in the area and three different people recommended stopping in for lunch. When I walked into the restraunt the smoke small from the grill was really strong. We were given a little history and impressed that it has been open for 34 years! Amazing location with a ton of seating and space. This establishment has been very well kept considering exterior elements. We ordered a bottle of wine and the Octopus for an app. It was good. I would recommend some small baguettes or bread of some kind to eat the sauces that come with the app. I was not sure what to do with the leftovers so we sent it away but if you liked the sauce it would be nice to have something to stop it up with….. Our entries came out and they were somewhat similar. Mine was dished incorrectly and we were confused if we received the correct meals. It was all good and Holly the waitress handled the situation wonderfully! She did a terrific job with recommendations, service and waiting on us. Over alll the meal was good but not as out of this world the three other shoppers bragged about. When I arrived home all I could smell was that smoke smell from the grill. I had to shower and change my cloths due to the strength of the smell. Some may like that smell but I do not I would also recommend they improve the ventilation.

We were seated quickly, and the order was taken. Atmosphere was beautiful. The food was very good but the waiter was almost dismissive after he took our order and got busy. He has been working there for 5 years, but it seems like he needs to brush up on his manners.

THE KIMCHI KID
Sunday Brunch is definitely worth it. Only complaints were some advertised items not present and wait time, even when having reservations; was excessive. Vast array of food choices and great atmosphere. I would definitely repeat and recommend. Jackson’s in Tampa ceased their brunch buffet and this is a pleasant replacement.

Bargain Labels
The free valet service was a nice perk. Service was top notch. Food was above average. We had a private party on the back patio. It was a little chilly,, but the staff provided heaters. Very busy place, the bar was bustling.
