This spot is a gem hidden inside of an understated food court full of Asian fusion spots. It really took me for a ride down memory lane, back to the days when I walked the dingy alleyways of Central South Korea.

I’m not from the area so I can’t speak for this gem being the BEST around but it’s the BEST ramen i have personally had. it’s a quaint little spot that’s fairly priced. the appetizers were delicious and the ramen was so deep with flavor with a thick broth. we got the karaka men specifically. the gyoza was crispy and perfectly cooked as was the pork belly bao. the staff was so friendly and attentive. i absolutely recommend giving the place a visit.

I put this up against ANY other ramen shop in Boston. Not only better tasting but larger portions and far less expensive. Don’t think that lower price means lower quality though, everything is absolutely fantastic and extremely authentic. Very big hole in the wall vibes with limited seating similar to traditional ramen bars you might find in Japan, but the food is unbeatable. Been here multiple times and ordered different things, always fills you up too unlike some places that skimp out on you. Highly recommend the Ishindo Ramen with crispy chili oil and the fried chicken don. In my opinion the best ramen in the city.

Ordered isshindo ramen via GrubHub. It was so delicious. If you order delivery, expect the broth to come separate from the noodles and toppings. There were helpful heating instructions for the broth and noodles. The broth was nice and silky while the noodles were the perfect texture. I liked the mushrooms. The egg was delicious. The portion was satisfying. I’d add this to my list of preferred ramen spots.

Oh my goodness this place smacks. My boyfriend and I were looking for a spot and found this gem based on reviews. No lies we’re told. It’s the most random hole-in-the-wall ramen spot, packed full of all different types of people, playing country music – truly a surreal experience. Definitely also the most complex, rich, delicious ramen I’ve ever had. Will be going back as many times as I can – inviting everyone that does or doesn’t like ramen, and parking in the (very convenient) parking lot.

It’s inside of the Market, to the left! Hidden for sure but I enjoyed looking for it. It’s a small spot, fairly loud, and quick service.

Very delicious place. We had a great time at Isshindo, the place is small with about 8-9 tables only, so there was around 45 min wait, you can walk around the area or go the grocery store next to it.

Best ramen I had in Boston so far. The broth is super flavorful, and not too salty like most other ramen broths here. The toppings were delicious as well. And be sure to try their chicken karage as well.

Hidden Gem near BU. Spicy Miso Ramen is a must try along with Don Bowl. Staff is friendly and ambience is good.
