Really delicious food, amazing happy hour, friendly staff, fast service of freshly cooked food. I really likes the small plates so we could share and try so many things. My husband brought me here for our anniversary to try something new and it did not disappoint. I’m looking forward to eating here again soon!

Came to this place for the Japanese skewers and they did not disappoint! But in my opinion, the hidden star of the meal was the grilled Saba. The grilled was was so well done that I would come back just for it.

信じられない ~ ! The happy hour here is next level in both price and quality! House fills up shortly after 4:30 and we now know why; ISSIAN is my #1 spot in Seattle for authentic Japanese cuisine. The flavor of every dish was perfectly balanced in both form and flavor. I highly recommend the masu sushi and agedashi but everything was wonderful really. The service was quick and pleasant, we sat at the bar and you can tell that the culinary staff are highly skilled and professional. ISSIAN is a must for any lover of Japanese food.

This is such a good izakaya! I am pretty suspect of izakayas in America but this one actually slaps. Everything we ordered came out very quickly in small sharing portions. It was packed and buzzing with energy which made it more authentic feeling. We sat at the bar and they handed us our food on a super long peel which is something I’ve only seen done in Japan!

Had a great experience eating at ISSIAN. Missed a lot of Japanese Restaurants back home and ISSIAN is now a staple for me here in Seattle. If you want authentic delicious Japanese food, this is the place to go! Service was great. Only con would be the wait times. Even when I had a reservation, it took a bit of a while to get seated. Regardless, the food made up for it! Oh

Amazing food. Got the chicken karaage which was delicious, paired well with the fries and wasabi mayo. Then the yakatori was also amazing, and reasonably price. However it’s not charcoal grilled, it’s gas grilled. Still tastes delicious, the chicken with green onion, pork belly and bacon were my favorite yakitori. Also the sushi was only mid in my opinion. Decent for price, wasabi was very flavorful! The baked fish (saba mackerel) was also phenomenal

Wow!! Loved this place. Staff was so friendly, we came here for happy hour and got so much food. The yakitori and yakiton were perfection, the jfc (Japanese fried chicken) was delish, the fried potato pancake things were on point and everything else was pretty good too. The kalbi short ribs (not pictured) were the only ones i felt could’ve been a little more flavorful. But no complaints and I had the best time. Will come back to try their sushi next time!

It seems like the best Japanese bbq you can find in Seattle, however, it’s just okay … meaning it’s not really good and not really bad. Price are affordable while the food quality just different than what I expected. You definitely can find better options … well, maybe not in Seattle.

Great food at crazy good prices. Tempura tasted really good and wasn’t oily. Salmon maki was cute.

I like how creamy and balanced the uni udon was. The udon was chewy. The crispy chicken wings were too salty. Disappointed at the sashimi salmon. The rest (unagi don, grills) were fine.
