The food lacks flavor. It feels as though they simply add sugar syrup and paint to the cocktails. The prices are unreasonably high, and the tablecloths are old, with spools on the tables. My friends have been here several times, and they didn’t enjoy it either. If you want good food, I don’t recommend coming here. On the plus side, it is a good location, pleasant and smiling waiters and a cute design.

I only write review for places that are good to share with people in a constructive and positive way and worth a visit. (My profile doesn’t contain any low star rating or dramatic complaints)

Earthy and Refreshing! The outside loft dining is great during the day or later with adequate shade and lovely plants and lighting. The food is superb! We personally love the ribeye, lamb and/or chicken shish as a main course, which the portions sizes are enough to appease your appetite. My favorite appetizer is the Su Borek and Saganaki. If you’re unsure about humus and have a group, the Meze Platter is a perfect choice that includes the previous apps I mentioned. Quench your thirst with one of their refreshers. Personally I went with the organic hibiscus lychee, which is certain to make you say, ‘ahhhh!’, after the first sip. Look forward to going back for a third time.

If you’re looking for some absolutely great food, you have to stop in here. We had Bobaganush, Lamb Chops (super tender), a delicious salad, the 40 layer dessert wasn’t available at the time(even though they had just opened) but there other dessert we had was great!

I walked in on a Sunday night and was able to be slipped in and sat at the bar. Amazing bartender, great seat mate, and lively atmosphere. Outdoor patio seating available and dog friendly. The saffron mimosa and meze platter was so tasty. I wish I had more room to try more. I will definitely come back to try more cocktails and save room for dessert!

Had always wanted to try this place out, so made a reservation. Hostess was friendly, got sat outside(I honestly wanted to sit inside.). Was very windy that day but my wife and son were fine. The waitress was nice and friendly, she was able to recommend and explain the things on the menu. We went with the Lamb shank red wine tagine, it was 79 and she said big enough for 2. Now I’m not a big lamb guy but it was okay, 79 seem kinda expensive but I was thinking why not. It was okay, not really for me. The meze platter is definitely a must! That was really good! $34. And the dessert! That is the real show! I’d definitely recommend the HATAY KUNEFE $13, oh my that was good! Make sure to spread the topping all over before you cut and eat! ANTEP BAKLAVA & DONDURMA (2 pieces $13 was okay… a little too sweet for my liking. All and all it was good definitely would go back again.

Food is flavorful. Maybe a couple of items are a little dry, but its a varied menu. What really makes Istanbul truly special is their staff. Aweet hotess found us the perfect table, the busers never let our water go down padt halfway our an empty dish languish longer than 30 seconds. Our server, Mattie (sp?) was engaging, helpful and fun. We started with a wonderful octopus appetiser and awwesome mocktail. My hubby had the sea bass, which he late right done to the crispy potato chip like fins. I had lamb chops with some delightful Mediterranean spices. They even challenged me with a side of their spicy red sauce. Wowzer! I loved it, but I sure didnt need a lot to set my mouth aflame. We ended with bread pudding with a mountain of ice cream that I will be craving for a long, long time. Istanbul is a friendly, and popular upscale neighborhood dining spot. I highly suggest securing a reservation a day or two ahead of time.

Delicious food, recommend the lamb prizola or the iskender doner as the main dish. They have a lot of sides options too like the fresh mediterranean salad, hummus, feta, and pita. The desserts are also unique and worth trying. Definitely one of a kind Turkish restaurant on the island!
