This is one of those places where you should read the reviews before you go to. We showed up in the middle of the day and we were the only ones in the restaurant. When we left we were still the only ones in the restaurant other than the employees. Our service was not good at all, our server didn’t seem like she wanted to be there and the order we placed wasn’t even correct. I was going to let them know the food was wrong but didn’t want to be that guy so just decided to eat it, I had already finished my plate before we were helped again and I could even say anything about it being wrong. Food is overpriced.

The Sultan Ixtapa was not what you would expect from Ixtapa. We ordered the Chicken Enchiladas and Chicken Chimichangas. Both of the dishes had burnt chicken and were dry on the inside. We were also served dry rice. The only thing saving the meal was the price and quantity of food – not the quality. We will not come back here again in the future. However, if you are in the area go to Maggy’s Mexican Restaurant in Gold Bar. You will not be disappointed!

I love Mexican food, almost every weekend we (me and my wife) go to a Mexican restaurant after a hike. This time we ended up trying this restaurant and it ended up being a terrible experience. Chips and salsa were stale to begin with, they are smelling terrible and hence we opted not to eat much. The meal was full of oil (kind of oily that I am not used to seeing with burritos without cheese sauce on top). One can still forego the food part as the opinion can vary from person to person and hence I didn’t question the staff. But on top of it, the lady who served us was highly rude to us. Sorry to say but service was horrible from the lady who served us. The only time we could see the waiter interested in us was towards the bill payment in the expectation to be tipped better after our horrible experience.

First walking up, it looks like a normal TexMex restaurant. But after my first bite, I knew this was a different place. The flavor and texture was amazing. I had an enchilada while my wife had the chalupa. (Secretly, I should have gotten it as well.) With a total of under $30 the service and the style of the restaurant was more than enough for me to want to come back over and over again. A definite must-try!

Small portions of meat. Veggies & meat not chopped all the way through. Tomatoe pieces had the stem dot still. Cold food. On the plus the produce was very fresh. Hoping they look at these reviews and get a staff that has a 5 star attitude, or can inspire current staff to treat guests as if they were being reviewed. It’s digital world now.

If your looking for real Mexican food than don’t come here. It should be a crime for them to call it that. The Chile relleno was just a Chile wrapped in scrambled eggs, there wasn’t even cheese in it. Rice was hard from either being out to long or old. The tostada was soggy! Like it has the word toast in it. Man if no stars was a thing I would give it no stars. The service was not great, I wouldn’t even call it go. I feel robbed.

My boyfriend and I went to dinner tonight and ordered a cheese crispy and no-name. Got our food and only a few bites in we find Multiple Shards of metal It cut into my gum. I spit it out , then see the whole cheese crispy has metal cooked all into it. This is extremely dangerous and could cause medical problems If ingested….!!
