If you are looking for Nashville Hot Chicken in the Raleigh area, look no further! You must stop here! I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Mac & Cheese with the collards. The collards were great and so was the mac! They have 4 spice levels for the hot chicken with the last one, extra spicy, having a written warning against consumption. The extra spicy warning caused me to go with the hot, 3/4 on their spice scale. It was hot but if you have a high spice tolerance, it isn’t bad at all. I’m looking forward to going back and trying more incredible menu items. This restaurant is inside of Morgan Street Food Hall!

You’ll have to excuse the pictures of food already dug into…we really enjoyed it. Fried chicken sandwich was delicious. Crunchy but also juicy, and pickles added a nice extra tangy layer to bite into. Although if I have any notes, it’s that it could probably use the addition of slaw or something more to give it a fresh contrast to the bun and breading.

I came here because of the good reviews, but will likely not be returning. I ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich to-go (& paid the to-go fee) and ended up waiting about 25 minutes despite there being nobody in front of me. People that came in after me were receiving their food in less than 10 minutes.

I ordered Ilya’s via LunchDrop, so I can’t speak to the location itself, but I can tell you a thing or two about the nashville hot bowl: it’s really dang good. The chicken is crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside. I ordered it Hot and I got it Hot, I’m still sniffling at my desk 20 minutes after finishing. The Mac & Cheese is pretty good, the ranch is delicious. All in all, I’d say it’s a very square deal for the money, and a very satisfying meal. If you can make it to Ilya’s, get there!

Service was fast and the food was good but the breading to the chicken tasted like it had something weird in it like too much baking soda or something. I am not a huge fan of tater tots personally but they made theirs very crispy and seasoned them with something like old bay or Bojangle’s fry seasoning. The Mac and cheese was very good but we were expecting a Mac and cheese “bowl” to have fried chicken chunks and it was really more like a big piece of fried chicken and a side of Mac all served in a bowl. Not my favorite chicken place in Raleigh but definitely worth a stop if you’re hungry and in the area.
