I LOVE everything about Izakaya!!! The ambience is perfect – LOVE sitting by the fireplace – the decor is spot on. The bar is well stocked – good selection of Scotch, which is unusual in Springfield. The waitstaff is excellent and attentive without being a bother. And the sushi – AAAmazing!!! The Izakaya and Sumo rolls are our favorite. The sashmi is top notch and the Unagi is PERFECT. I’ve sampled a fair bit of the menu and have loved everything! Izakaya is fantastic!!

Large menu with something for everyone! Wine, beer, and cocktails to pair with the most fresh sushi I’ve had in years. The wait staff is efficient and friendly and the atmosphere is modern yet welcoming.

It all tasted so great, my favorite was the albacore nagiri. I was pleased with my friends suggestion to try a new sushi place, but I’ll definitely have to return.
