Authentic and super tasty!! I ordered the Sake Don (salmon sashimi on top of rice) and the salmon was so fresh and tender! My friend ordered the Spam Musubi and it was comically large lol. We also ordered a bunch of sushi and it came in a really pretty big tray. They also had some good sake and tea options. I liked it so much I came back a couple days later and ordered the exact same meal. I live in Los Angeles and this place competes with some of the best Japanese restaurants there!

Locally owned/ Mom & Pop shop. Wonderful customer service and delicious food! Our waiter was super sweet and attentive. Waters frequently refilled, and wait time was not bad at all. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I read two of the bad reviews before I got here and was curious about the validity of them. Here is what I found. This restaurant is truly a mom and pop shop, there are two lovely people both attending and cooking for the whole restaurant. I did find I waited a little longer than usual for service but I also know I am a full grown adult capable of practicing patience and compassion. It was well rewarded at the end as the food was delicious! The chicken was super crispy! The rolls was even better than the description and the miso soup was warm and cozy.

The food was awesome! Staff was friendly and apologetic about the wait time. They did offer drinks and edamame for the long wait. Maybe offered to bring one of our sushi rolls out? Just a thought. Overall, it was very nice, and I’ll go again for sure. The Big Daddy roll was my favorite!

Nice little place with AMAZING sushi. Started with the miso and the broth is full of flavor, was delicious. I then had the Jinsei Combo #2, mine came out with 3 pieces of sashimi of tuna, yellowtail, red snapper, and salmon. WOW! The sushi is so fresh and texturally it’s everything you want. Just enough firmness but also super tender and melt in your mouth deliciousness. I also ordered the lemon roll and was surprised at how much I enjoyed the combo of the spicy tuna, the lemon, and wasabi. Was equally spectacular as the sashimi. Highly recommend. Delicious sushi, no doubt!

Awesome Japanese restaurant. It is not really an Izakaya, but it has a lot of choices. The food was perfect. Noodle soup is hot and tasty, sushi is well made and the appetizer is so big.

Wonderful food!! Nice staff!! The place was really small so I’m sure it could get crowded easily but it was not crowded when I went luckily, and it was cute. The best chicken katsu, and chicken curry katsu, and the veggie roll was awesome!

The place was really cute and the food especially the salmon poke and spicy salmon roll was literally so amazing and big portions for the insanely cheap price in my opinion. Everything was so fresh and the presentation was done so well. My friend got the teriyaki bento box and she said it was delicious and she got a small portion and it was still really huge. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star was because it was a little confusing walking in, I don’t know if the waitress treated us differently cause we were students but it didn’t really feel welcoming, but they probably had a bad day or something. Otherwise, I 1000% recommend!!!

This place is one of my favorite place to have great quality of food in Eugene. It’s a block away from the campus, friendly atmosphere and staff. Food quality is very good. They recently started the sushi bar and they have great quality of sushi/sashimi too. I highly recommend this place!
