My restaurant of choice! We have been going to this location for for years and have never been dissatisfied. Top notch service and SO consistent. The food tastes amazing every single time! My go to is the crab cakes with Mac and cheese. IMO the steaks are better than some high end steak houses. It’s a little pricey but so worth it – you get what you pay for! I also enjoy the atmosphere it’s calm, classy but family friendly.

Food was decent. The server was not friendly. Gave a feeling, he doesn’t even want to be there working. Atmosphere was significantly darker than photos. Crowded. We went on a Father’s Day and the crowd was expected. It was full house. The experience could have been better.

Great service and the food was amazing. It a little pricey, but well worth it. I had the prime rib with smashed potatoes. Cooked to order and delicious. My wife had the chicken. The portion was huge. A totally enjoyable experience.

I ordered the French Dip as takeout today. It was the absolute worst I’ve ever had. A full half of the meat was fat and gristle. I’ve had it before and it used to be good but it’s been a while since I’ve been there. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

Been going here for years and it’s always reliable and unpretentious. The steaks and seafood are done really well. Especially the Ahi Tuna or steak frites. The beef carpaccio appetizer is good but needs a hint more dressing on the arugula as it’s bland and doesn’t tie the dish together. Service is generally very attentive, cheerful and prompt.

Came here for my birthday,,all I can say is Wowowoowowow unbelievable how amazing the food and customer service was. My waitress name was Lauren she was amazing she knows the menu well she smiles when speaking to you . I love her❤️ She recommended the lemon drop and now I feel like my panty is ready to drop thank you for a wonderful dinner

The restaurant was extremely unhygienic and gave me food poisoning, which raises concerns about their cleaning practices and ingredient handling. Despite my food allergies, the server inaccurately assured me that my meal was safe. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values hygiene, health, and quality food.

My friend and I came to J. Alexander’s for lunch. I have always enjoyed coming to J. Alexander’s every time I go. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by some very friendly hosts who took us to our table. The restaurant has a nice dark ambiance to it which creates an upscale dining feel. Our waiter Mick was very kind, helpful, and accommodating. We ordered the Cindy’s lemon drop which was nice and strong; which is always an A+ in my book. Then we started off with the Cesar salad which had a great unique flavor to it, and very filling. I ordered the Carolina crab cakes which is my favorite thing to order. The crab cakes are packed with jumbo lump crab meat and very juicy plus flavorful. I’m so glad they brought these back on the menu. My friend ordered the cheeseburger which she really enjoyed. The burger was a nice portion to where she was stuffed lol. As always I enjoyed my time at J. Alexander’s, and can’t wait to go back.
