Ha, of all the restaurants here in this food row this one has the most unique menu. If your a fan of Louisiana style, gumbo, beans and rice, and other favorites…this place has the simple offer of providing you a bowl of food. That bowl was good, not the best, but you will not be disappointed. The restaurant is unique, made for families to enjoy, they even allow you to write on the wall, seriously.

Love this place! A coworker and I go here a couple times a month for lunch. The menu spans a wide variety of tastes and heat. I can’t say enough good things about this place and the staff are always friendly. If you get a chance, try the bread pudding with the rum sauce….it won’t disappoint.

I like J. Gumbo’s, being right off of Reed Hartman highway means it’s only a few minutes from many offices in Blue Ash. The food is excellent, very flavorful, hot and fresh. The service is great, they are friendly, fast, and make you feel appreciated for being a customer.

My bf and I absolutely LOVE this spot. We aren’t from Cinci , but we were here for my job and ended up trying here before heading back home. The food is so well seasoned. The queso is my bfs FAVORITE , especially with the red hot Buffalo added. When I got another job back in Cinci I ordered 7 quesos to take back to Indy. Literally highlight of my bfs day when I go and make a pit stop here!

With Jersey Mike’s already closed on a Sunday evening why not instead try something new? J. Gumbo’s in Blue Ash was a great choice. They provide New Orleans inspired “Big Bowl” entrees including jambalaya, etouffee, and gumbo over rice but do yourself a favor and kick up the spice just a tad and go for the Drunkin Chicken dish. A nice fast food alternative. (Maybe) you heard it here first but they are moving across the road in March 2019.

Great place if you like southern and/or spicy food. Pictured is the drunken chicken. It’s delicious but not that spicy so make sure you get the jalapenos like I did if you enjoy spicy food. Another plus to this restaurant is that the lines move pretty quick.

My friend and I tried J Gumbo’s for the first time. Doug, the man working seemed very pleasant at first. He asked us what flavors we liked and proceeded to give us samples. The food was decent. We placed our orders and I told him I didn’t want rice and he told me that isnt an option. I had to have it apparently. Once we placed both of our orders he then told us “thats a lot of food for you 2”. I just said yeah and brushed it off but said we will be taking it home, no worries. He then said “you should have said that first. Its kind of hard to put this in boxes now”. I told him I would do it once I was finished. At this point I just wanted to leave without my food. But we stayed and read the writings on the walls, which is the best part of this restaurant. I personally won’t be going back.

Good spicy cajun food at a decent price (main bowls were around $8) Plenty of different options to choose from such as jambalaya and voodoo chicken. Cornbread is a great add on and your can add cheese, jalapeños, and/or sour cream to your meal. You can eat in or take out at this moment
