The food is pretty good and fairly priced. We have the fondue and you could taste a little bit of that alcohol with all the yummy salty cheese. They were so nice and cut up an orange watermelon that I had brought and forgot a knife for. Continental breakfast was definitely a step above most places unless you’re at the Waldorf. The atmosphere is really nice unless you don’t like crowded places and in that case keep in mind you’re in a tourist town.

While on vacation we visited this restaurant and had a fantastic first experience. We ordered from the happy hour menu and the drinks were so good we decided to return two nights later. When we returned we specifically asked again about the drink options for the happy hour menu then ordered. When the waiter brought the check the balance was not the happy hour price ($8/drink) but it was more than the regular full price ($12/drink) on the menu. The total was priced at $15/drink. When I inquired about the bill the waiter informed me she actually couldn’t honor the happy hour price for the drinks she told us we could get for the happy hour special. The manager then came over to tell us it was impossible to honor the happy hour price because their drinks were actually premixed. When I inquired why the waiter would tell us it was an option to order that drink as a “well drink” if it was impossible to change out the alcohol she had no answer except her waiter obviously messed up and it was some how our fault she told us wrong. She then proceeds to tell us that the drink is too expensive for her to be able to honor the drinks at the price the waiter originally told us they would be. She explained the only thing she could do is charge us full price but make our second drink free. This actually made the bill less than the price would’ve been if she had just charged us the happy hour price.

Enjoyed it. Atmosphere was good, but some tipsy people at the bar were being too noisy. Great service; however, the food was a bit on the salty side, slightly over seasoned.

Just discovered this restaurant attached to the hotel in the area. Friendly staff. The food could use a change of ingredients, especially for $80…. Perhaps they could increase their quality and preparation. Burger buns were specifically disappointing.

In Leavenworth, there is a lot of German food, but we were ready for some lighter fare and someplace off of Front Street. JJ Hills was well-reviewed so we drove the short distance to check it out. Views are spectacular. There is an outdoor space with misting, but it was 90 degrees so we stayed in. The hostess was not terribly enthusiastic, so initial impression wasn’t great. We had the fondue and cauliflower appetizers, a chicken Caesar, French dip, and Cobb chicken sandwich for the five of us. We just had a couple of soft drinks. The total bill was $115. Not bad for Leavenworth for five people. The best part of our experience was Mark the waiter. He is the perfect waiter from my perspective. Knowledgeable, polite, with a great sense of humor. The food was good, more than acceptable. There was a limited menu due to staffing, but they managed to have a reasonable variety. All in all, a nice change of pace from the schnitzels.

We came into town late which left us with few dining choices. The porch dining and view was great. Egg roll appetizer extremely greasy. I ordered the ceaser salad with chicken. It was swimming in dressing. Our iced tea drinks were not refilled. I did tell the waitress about the salad and she offered a dessert which I turned down since I do not so sugar. Overpriced and disappointing meals.

Pretty delicious for hotel food , nice variety I mostly loved their late hours. The pretzel was disappointing. It was hard and could’ve used another dipping sauce. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Cocktails were quite good. They have covered outdoor seating (also with heaters above each table). Food was flavorful, and portion sizes were really good. Menu could use a bit more diversity, but that’s pretty minor. The side salad that came with my entree was decent sized as well.
