We came in to have a family celebration for my parents 50th Anniversary. They accommodated us and took great care. We enjoyed the wood fired steaks, the bread with cinnamon honey butter especially. Our waitress was patient and attentive. Overall a great dining experience.

J. Miller’s provides a warm, welcoming, family atmosphere. The food was well prepared and had good flavor. Ownership was extremely helpful when we left our credit card there and they were closed for the July 4th holiday… they still made time to assist us. Good people. Good food. Good time.

Old River Town Charmer…J. Miller’s rendition of a family restaurant, steakhouse, and pub have been melded into one fine dining experience. The wood fired steaks have a unique flavor that will keep you returning again an again. However, the White Cheddar Mac-n-Cheese is going to be a staple a definite must have at our next visit as well as the Onion rings, Coleslaw, and shrimp cocktail. My brother had the Filet and Mindy his wife had the Shrimp Skewers and my wife and I both had the Tiffany sirloin…Everyone had a great dining experience…will gladly return in the future even if it is an hour away from out home. They are also willing and able to handle large crowds wanting to share a gathering.

Our first and last experience there. We were served by the manager who definitely needs some work with restaurant service. She was very friendly and initially attentive, but we waited quite some time for refills, never received extra sour cream requested (1 small packet was provided for the entire loaded skin order). My husband’s steak came out charred on one side and purple and cold on another. The manager got another steak made which was ok, overall if they are known for their steaks, we were not impressed. Our steaks were burned in several places, but we ordered them medium rare. We were charged for premium side, but was not informed upon ordering that it was the full $6.00, not just the difference between the regular side ($5.00). Additionally my husband ordered loaded fries and was told when his food came they were out of them so they gave him waffle fries instead, rather than asking him what other side he would prefer. The manager just kept telling us how understaffed they were and she did apologize, but did very little to ensure we would give it another chance. She only credited two sides versus doing something about the poorly cooked steaks. Just disappointing since we were excited to try a new place for Father’s Day. The appetizers and Mac n cheese were good.

I want to give them a higher rating but the service is always slow, this does NOT include the bar side. Even when they are not busy it’s slow. The wait staff will be standing around while we are waiting for them to come back because we want another drink. We have actually gotten up and gone to the bar to get our own drink because we were ignored so long. We’ve always had good service on the bar side. The food is pretty good. Improve the restaurant service and we will eat there more often.

The 2 scares of shrimp were way over cooked. The salmon was dry and since this was a special occasion we won’t be back again. The only good part was my husband’s kids hamburger he ate because of weightloss surgery. Was very sad considered it was almost 200 for dinner

So excited for this place! Opening a saloon upstairs and great food downstairs. You can’t miss the history and nostalgia along the breathtaking Ohio River. Down home treatment with staff that talk to you and love the history. Food is good, the experience is better. Hoping to see and hear some fun music when the upstairs returns to the exciting life it used to have. Alot of potential here, love it!
