Excellent meal! Great Service! I had the Spare Ribs – they were delicious, perfectly done! She had Fish n Chips – they were moist and meaty… She lived in the UK for more then a decade and said these were the Best Fish n Chips she has found in the US… “Did not Disappoint” – typical British understatement. We will eat here again!

1st time visit to the area. Saw this place on Google Maps. Sweet surprise! Looking for a light bite and cold beer. The brussel sprouts were crispy perfection and the Reubens rolls had the best crisp shell and dipping sauces of mustard and a thousand island dip. Sitting outside on a beautiful day. Really happy we stopped in!

The food was good and the waitress was pleasant, even though we ran out of water and it was never refilled. The coleslaw was at room temperature, so that wasn’t touched . Maybe worth the time if you’re in the area. There is a pub halfway down Main St. that’s a better experience. Btw, Murphy’s charges a credit card surcharge, which is absurd , considering hardly anyone carries cash in 2023. This amateur hour policy should be posted as the customer walks in, or at least explained by the wait staff before ordering. We would have walked out if we knew !!

Absolutely enjoy a meal at J. Murphy’s during any visit to Cold Springs. So disappointing to read the negative reviews commenting on the wait time. When visiting Cold Springs during a busy time of the year or especially during Fall Foliage at it’s peak, really what do you expect? Clearly the town is extremely crowded & this will happen !! We put our name on their list, the women stated it would be an hour wait so we walked around by the time we got back she had just called to tell us our table was ready. Simple !! Our meal was amazing as always, the best fish & waffle chips I’ve had in ages ! The staff as well are amazing just so attentive & serves you with a smile ! Thank you for yet another fabulous meal to end a wonderful day in Cold Springs !!

First off…staff is quick reliable and friendly. Second… drinks are strong and soooo good! Food… Husband said these are the best oysters he has had. Coconut shrimp was flavorful and taste! Caesar salad was flavored with anchovies just the way I like it. Main course…. I got the best steak and spud that a girl can ask for…. like omg it hit the spot. Hubby had rib with grill cheese which he won’t shut up about and aunt had a grill chicken arugula salad. My husband and I are not from Cold springs, my aunt is. We r city kids who love to eat. We will 100% be back to this restaurant. Our server was Chris… he is AMAZING! I took pics after we started eating so I apologize for that but trust me, the flavor was on point!

Very solid burger and beer spot after a nice hike. Friendly staff and great service. They gave us extra water pitchers as we were parched. Burgers and brisket grilled cheese really hit the spot. Fantastic try selection as well. Highly recommend the parm truffle add on
