This place is a fantastic alternative to Bob’s Chop House. Top quality beef cooked perfectly. We made a reservation and arrived early on a Tuesday, thus the empty dining room. We were seated immediately. Not a lot of people there yet (again, the pic of the empty dining room), though the bar had a after work crowd. By the time we left, the dining room was busy.

Hidden gem. Best restaurant in town for either fantastic casual dining in the bar area or romantic fine dining in the dining room. Service is fast and attentive. Bar makes great cocktails and they have a fantastic wine list if it’s a special night. Highly recommend the cheesy grits as your side, they are to die for! Keep up the great work!

This was our first time at JR’s, and we had a lovely dinner celebrating our anniversary. The food was excellent and service outstanding. So many wonderful items on the menu, it was hard to choose. So glad we ordered the pumpkin waffle for dessert. From the friendly valet, Shawn, to our attentive waiter, James, we enjoyed our dinner experience immensely. We will be back!

Waiter was pleasant, House salad was good, interesting mix of flavors. However I found the strips of bacon too large to deal with for a salad. When our main dinner arrived, my husband’s steak was very rare and on return was medium-rare when he ordered it medium. My French dip sandwich was very boring. The bread was too sweet and somewhat soft. It there was a bit of cheese it was difficult to notice. It seemed very strange that the meal didn’t have any sort of green vegetable included, not even a pickle. Prices were very high for the food received.

Just a Local “Tourist”
The atmosphere was warm and our food was perfectly prepared. I got a simple bacon cheese burger that was delicious and finished the meal with their famous chocolate cake. Gentlemen, if you ever need to please the sweet tooth of a lady, just bring her a slice of that cake. You won’t regret it.

We’ve driven past this place dozens of times and just decided to give it a shot. The cocktails we’re crafted well, and the wine list is great. The steaks and sides were as good as the best steakhouses I’ve ever been to. Everything was phenomenal. We found our steak place.
