Stopped in for brunch on Saturday. Seated immediately, service was fast and friendly. Had a burger which was tasty and wife had a grilled cheese. House chips were a little over done but still good. Had an Old Fashioned and it was spot on, so I had another. Highly recommended.

An updated review: A big group of us had Sunday brunch here and it was unanimous – it was fantastic. From the waffles to the shrimp and grits, the dishes were excellent. We ordered the bread pudding for dessert, which stood out for being really different and was instantly inhaled by everyone at the table. Our favorite drink at the table was a cranberry mimosa with cordial added, which was also fantastic. Top-notice customer service from our our server Teresa and bartender Cody. Kitchen staff is amazing. You got your five stars. Great job, guys. (Pic added is of the avocado toast, which was the only decent pic I could get with everyone digging in as the plates hit the table)

Well first let me say that our waitress, Teresa, was very nice. Although she was new, she had a great demeanor and provided great customer service. Now, the food was not impressive. I ordered the deviled eggs and to be completely honest it tasted bland. Its only saving grace was the sliced bacon that it was topped off with. My champagne mimosa was okay. My tab ended up being just shy of $20. I probably won’t return unless one of my coworkers urges me to come back.

Showed up for the first Annual Beard Contest. This was our first time at Barnett’s, even though we didn’t go inside we had a great time! The staff that served drinks outdoors was very good, the energy from the place was awesome. We would enjoy going again even if there isn’t a event. First experience was great!!

Barnett’s is easily my favorite bar in Waco! The service is absolutely incredible from all staff especially from bartender Brad, he’s very patient when trying to decide what what whiskey to drink and very helpful when marking those decision. The atmosphere is very friendly with good background music that accommodates to all people. Last but not least the drinks themselves superb any cocktail that you desire they will make. Barnett’s will continue to have my vote as the best bar in Waco!

Had a Great date night with my wife at JS Barrett’s. Interesting and delicious food menu. Bourbon list was an impressive 10 pages (maybe more) long and I got to try several pours of rare bourbons that are almost never on store shelves. Service was exceptional…servers and bartenders know there stuff. Finished off the meal with the best Old Fashioned I’ve ever had.

Brunch was amazing. The Barrett’s Benedict was to die for and the price of the mimosa pitchers was nothing to complain about! It seems like brunch gets really busy so you might want to make a reservation if you don’t want to wait.

Fantastic drinks! Great atmosphere! If you’re looking for a good Friday night out, come to J.S. Barnett’s Whiskey House. We came to see Ghosts of Hill County and everything about this experience was amazing. Dez set us up with great beer and tacos. Don’t miss out on the pineapple either! The live band that played we’re pretty good. They played a little bit of classic rock,blues, and country music. The food was pleasing to the palette and the service was excellent. I’d recommend it to family and friends and to whoever may ask me if I know any good places to dine.

Stopped by for a drink. Good old fashioned cocktail. Nice ambiance – traditional Irish pub. Service was mediocre – we came in right before closing and the bartenders weren’t too friendly.
