Never disappointed, food is always delicious on point and is consistent. Service is friendly and lovely, it’s a local place, great fun Saloon, Best Basque in town. Our family treasures this wonderful restaurant. Bring a Big appetite or take your leftovers home dinner is at least a 5 course meal. They offer Breakfast, and lunch!

We’ve been enjoying coming here annually for a while, modulo recent fire and covid disruptions. The experience is a hearty, family style meal rather than high cuisine. The service and all have been excellent each visit. Another good one Aug 2023.

Don’t let the name fool you. It serves family style, but if you are dinning by yourself/ alone it’s completely fine. They charge per person and by portions, so don’t miss out.

What a cool restaurant with a great atmosphere and AMAZING food! We just happened to stop by this place and it was way beyond expectations. The chicken sandwich, which is literally just chicken, bread, and garlic if you want it, was so tasty I was wondering what magic was responsible for this amazing flavor. If you are anywhere near this restaurant you have to stop in and appreciate the ambiance and taste the amazing food.

The JT is the iconic historic restaurant in the Carson Valley! The building was a brothel in Virginia City and in 1869 it was sold and then physically moved by rolling it on logs to Gardnerville! It has been a Basque restaurant and hotel for generations of Basque sheep herders. Now days it is a restaurant with family style traditional Basque food, delicious!! Make sure and go here hungry, they serve you so many dishes! The service is impeccable! The bartender Monica is so friendly, knowledgeable, and excels at doing many things at one time. This is a Caraon Valley experience that cannot be missed!

Step into this historic eatery for a truly one-of-a-kind supper club experience — bringing together Old World and Old West sensibilities. Cowboy hats and Basque ceramics adorn the walls, while old-school jukebox and vinyl upholstered banquet chairs evoke a feeling from decades past.

Wonderful lunch of a local grass-fed burger with manchego, salad, and fries. The fries were unusual, and very good!
