So I was very excited to see this amazing Jamaican restaurant in Netcong NJ. I ordered a pasta with shrimp and jerk chicken, it was $27 for the plate and I was so happy to taste this food. When I got my plate it was dry and my chicken was chicken breast cut up, I was disappointed because I wanted the taste of the bone and the spice of the jerk wasn’t there. Im from Brooklyn and my parents are Jamaican so I know what I was tasting and it wasn’t good.

Overall I have been here twice and even though the wait is long the food takes time to cook and it came out delicious, so I cannot complain. Still cannot go inside so it best to call food in then go. My friends and I went there from college late at night to eat and didn’t know this so we were just outside waiting.

Food taste good however it’s pricey. The price doesn’t equate to the quantity of food given. I called the store back to make sure I received the correct order as my total was $53 for a large oxtail, 5 piece fried chicken and fries, 2 beef patties and 2 Squeez’R drinks. I was told the oxtails was big enough size to feed 3 people (that plate size couldn’t feed 2 people in my household) and its priced at $27 with 2 plantains and literally 4 cabbage pieces. I have eaten at various jamaican restaurants in NJ and NY and this one is by far the most expensive. The picture is the same pan size the oxtails was in.

This restaurant is shady! We arrived and went to open the door (the door was locked) to enter the restaurant and then Saw a note on the door stating not to knock and that we have to call online to purchase the food. We looked inside the restaurant and the furniture was rearranged to where you cannot see what was going on in the restaurant.

Had the large jerk chicken for $15.00. The chicken and rice and veggies tasted good. I’m not happy with the amount of chicken you get for that price. It seemed like it was only a chicken breasts worth of meat. The veggies taste great but again, don’t get a lot. What you do get a lot of is the rice with just a few beans in them. The chicken isn’t like your usual Jerk spots. They take it off the bone. All in all, food tasted good but I don’t like the feeling of get ripped off.
