Unfortunately not the best experience. Lamb snack was not hot, lacking sauce, it was dry. Schnitzel plane missing flavor. In general the dishes were not elaborated/connected properly. My wife and I had been driving by the restaurantby for years and now that we got to go the place let us down.

So this place has some pretty amazing food. I chose a beef Rinderroulade and it was very good. I think the table side crostini needed some cheese spread or something and the choice of seeded focaccia with the salad was interesting but also tasty. Definitely old fashioned style. Priced upscale but so are the flavors. There are a few things that could be better… but good place for both tasty eats and a comfortable dining ambience with old world style.

Vintage elegance. Vintage charm. Excellent food and old-school quality service with white table cloths. I loved the duck, and my girlfriend had the Atlantic salmon. The food, served on vintage china, was delicious. All in all, it was a wonderful dining experience.

Finally went in after months of talking about it. I am not one to gripe about things. Never left a bad rating in my life. But this place! The duck was dry and tasteless. The stuffing had a gross texture. The beans tasted like they came out of a can. His club sandwich wasn’t horrible but unremarkable. The server left our dish and never once came back to check on us. We didn’t see her again until we had to flag her down for the check. The drinks were very good.. but other than that a total waste of a hundred dollar bill.

Extraordinary lunch on a Friday summer afternoon. Potato encrusted cod and chowder were very flavorful, served very warm, almost hot. Large size cod fillets, excellent texture. Tossed salad was very good with freshly grated pepper. For dessert, the cheesecake was unreal. Again, very flavorful, generous serving. Right temperature and texture. Can’t imagine any better! Before the meal arrived, warm garlic crisps (or croutons?) and rolls with butter were served. Our waitress was attentive, helpful, polite, informative, and kind. Beverages were promptly refilled, used dishes promptly removed. Classical music played in the background. Just a great experience down to the smallest detail. Thoroughly enjoyable. Not a wrong note. Highly recommended!!

Stopped in for late lunch on Father’s day. The place has been around for over 100 years for a reason. The service was great, food was served up quickly in good portions and satisfied all of us. Atmosphere loses a star just because it is a little cramped and dated, but still felt cozy and homey to us, just may put off some picky people so I put it out there. We’ll be back before long!

The food is delicious! It’s a very neat dining experience with a unique atmosphere. While you do pay a higher price for the food, you get what you pay for.

I tried the German pancake. It was delicious as my lunch. We were very comfortable indoors on an extremely hot day. It was a relaxed setting with excellent service.
