Some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had and I just took a trip to LA. Had the chips and salsa, traditional margarita, and chicken enchiladas. You have to pay $3 for the chips and salsa but the salsa is super adobo forward and absolutely worth the low price. Margarita was just a little sweet for my taste but I usually prefer my margaritas on the stiffer side and this is still better than most Mexican restaurants I’ve been to. Highlight of the meal was the chicken enchiladas, which have a perfect balance of acidity and spiciness. Extremely well priced for the quality of food. Will be coming back if I’m ever in Seattle again.

We decided to come in on Sunday early evening after hearing so much about this place. The neighborhood and parking was very sketchy and then the sign on the window saying they don’t accept cash due to break ins made us feel pretty uneasy. The brisket tacos and brisket enchiladas are really good but the star of the dishes were definitely the brisket which comes from their sister store Jacks BBQ. The chips were good. Salsa was a little weird warm. The drink had so much ice in it that I only had a few sips of actual drink for $14.00 I expect to have some liquid in there. Very overpriced we paid 102 for two people with tip. Probably will not come back unfortunately.

Ending our trip, we had dinner here. This place is the best TexMex we’ve ever had and we have been to many (Texas)! We had a quesadilla made with crispy parmesan crust, queso Oaxaca and cheddar, pickled red onion, chipotle crema- so good! And the Cheese Enchiladas With Brisket Chili Gravy – 2 enchiladas smothered in brisket chili gravy and served with bacon refried beans and Spanish rice. Absolutely yummy!! We will definitely be back if we ever get back to Seattle! Oh and the chips and salsa!!! Yums!!!

Saw a review of this place on Evening Magazine so we stopped by late Tuesday afternoon. Beef brisket tacos were absolutely delicious with very tasty dipping sauces. We started with chips and salsa which were also amazing. Chips were warm as well as the salsa with a delicious smokey taste. Also ordered quesadillas which were also amazingly delicious, crispy and filling, By the time we left around 5:15pm, seating was almost full at this popular place. Definitely worth a stop if you want a delicious unique lunch/dinner.

Everything was so incredible. I got the brisket tacos and my wife got the chicken verde enchiladas. The chips and salsa were also unique and tasty. We waited too long to come the first time but we won’t wait as long to go back!

Jackalope is a Tex Mex style restaurant right on the main strip in Columbia City. Parking is mostly on side streets here so you might have to walk a little bit. Inside they have about 2 dozen tables and a bar area. The service here is great, very friendly and good at recommendations including portion sizes. Their brisket is made at Jack’s BBQ so it’s delicious. Tortilla soup is really good but heavy and thick, so more of a stew. Overall a great experience but it gets busy so be prepared at peak hours to wait.

Love the mexican cantina motif and the energy of this place! We came for lunch and the service was great. Had the El Jackalope Marg, chips & salsa and a fish taco. The salsa has a nice smoke to it but too mild for me. Fish taco was okay, but I probably ordered the wrong thing. My friend ordered the mango chicken salad and it looked super good. I brought the burrito home for my hubs with brisket and he said it was good…I will def try something else next time.

Best Tex-Mex in Seattle! With the dearth of good Mexican food in the city, that may not sound like much, but even my Texan friends love this place. They highly recommend the seafood enchiladas. Personally, I love the tacos de papa- such a tasty vegetarian option. The chips and salsa are great too, served warm and dusted with spices. The staff is always friendly, the space is open and chic, and there’s never too long a wait for a table. It can be a little pricey, especially with drinks, but you may be able to get two meals out of it if you fill up on chips and salsa first!

Bella is the best. The food is wonderful, the queso is tops, pina margaritas are spicy glory, and the beer is cold. Basically, you should be here eating fajitas with the extra jalapeño sausage and enjoying the great bar, style, and high ceilings. Get you some.

Delicious food! The little stuffed peppers were amazing and our favorite! Loved the brisket enchiladas, nachos, chips, salsa, Chile Relleno, and quesadillas. Great service as well.
