The appetizer is really disappointing, the $18 watermelon salad is literally just watermelon and lettuce with several mint leaves. But the main dish saved it, I ordered the Bronzino fish and my friend ordered the duck confit, both very flavorful and fresh and in a decent amount.

Updated review, I had given this place 5 stars in the past as it used to be my go-to before and during COVID-19, I went back for the first time last Friday and boy was I disappointed. It used to be fairly priced with good food and atmosphere, now the prices are really unreasonable, their changes in the outside area broke the nice french bistro ambiance it used to have. I want to stress out the pricing is now ridiculous, we paid 200+ for 3 appetizers, one main course a 4 drinks. The menu isn’t up to date with the wines (wrong years, a saint Émilion 2018 is not the same quality and price as a 2017, sorry), I had pate en croûte, which just wasn’t a pate en croûte but regular pate with bread, and the cornichons were so stale I suspect they kept reserving them every time as nobody would eat them. I brought friends there under previous experience and ended up paying for all as I felt ashamed bringing them there. I won’t come back

They do not have any vegan option in the menu. Even the gaspacho that was the soup of the day wasn’t vegan. They offered me a plate with just side dishes which I refused and ended up eating french fries. They should know better as a NY restaurant.

I recently held my sister’s bridal shower for 30 people at Jacques and was so happy with the entire experience. The staff was so accommodating, the food was incredibly delicious, and the atmosphere was warm and charming. The manager helped us to create a lovely menu for the day and we celebrated in the perfectly sized private room. I highly recommend this French bistro for an intimate event or just for a delicious meal.

Went for dinner Monday night. Was busy but we had table booked. The food was on point and came out in a timely manner. The staff were fantastic. We had 3 course and we could not fault anything. The snails we so good, the mussels yummy! The Jacques burger for me was the best. The combination of blue cheese, caramelized onions and apple with the beef patty was genius!!! The creme brulee for dessert was so good as was the souffle. All in all a great night of food, wine and excellent service. We were very well looked after!
