What a great experience! Visiting St. Louis in a girl’s getaway. Googled soul food and went to Jaden’s based on reviews. They did not disappoint. Staff was super cool & friendly! Food was as delicious as your southern grandmother’s! If you’re ever in the area, check ‘em out. I definitely will whenever I come back.

I hate to do this because I LOVE supporting Black Owned businesses, however this food was not what the reviews state. I ordered oxtails, ham hock, Turkey leg, short ribs, chicken wings, dressing, black eye peas, greens, macaroni and cheese and candi yams. I wanted to sample everything…the meat was very tender but let down came with the lack of taste. The food did not have not one speck of salt or pepper. I first thought maybe the cook angry. The food was very bland and disappointing. Over $65 dollars worth of food stayed sitting in my hotel room for the trash. If I ever visit St Louis again I will not be supporting them unless they add some sort of season, at least a pinch of something. Sadden.

I hadn’t been to Jadens diner in a long time so on mother’s day me and my daughter went to get a meal cause we didn’t feel like cooking. We arrived right before they closed so there wasn’t much left to choose from. I ordered a porksteak and my daughter ordered the baked chicken. When I got home I heated up my food and tasted it. The pork steak was thick and cooked well. It was okay but wasn’t as good as back in the day when we use to go there for lunch and talk to the owner.

So disappointed in this soul food restaurant not only was the food so bland and tasteless, the neighborhood was horrible first time I been afraid to get out my car But I managed I got turkey wing, sweet potatoes and dressing how do u mess up soul food? The dressing was like eating bread with gravy on top no taste it looked like dressing but it taste like a blob of nothing the turkey wing was tender but it had no taste, the only thing that was half way decent was the sweet potatoes, it was a waste of 12bucks I will never go back here again (to the tasteless soul food restaurant ) I Do Not recommend this restaurant the food was awful and the neighborhood unsafe go at your own risks is all I will say

Do not believe the reviews you see this food is definitely over hyped whoever is in that kitchen can not cook real soul food I got the chicken, sweet potatoes , Mac and cheese and cornbread….the sweet potatoes tasted like nothing not sweet at all just a boiled potato. The mac and cheese was definitely boxed and horrible literally the worst mac and cheese I ever had in my life , chicken was flavorless only thing good on the plate was the cornbread & that’s because it was boxed Jiffy I’m so happy someone else spent there money on this plate save yourself time and money and just cook your own food at home if I could give 0 stars I would
