I used to live in the area and get this food all the time, but I have to say, things have changed quite a bit. The lomo saltado I ordered was 75% packed with white rice, the rest was the actual dish. Also, prices are double what they used to be. But what was had was still pretty good but there might be better options in the area (tons of nice little restaurants and authentic foreign cuisine within two blocks)

I can’t believe I never knew this place existed!!! I grew up in the area eating homemade Peruvian food but never went to a chifa place. Huge portions. Their chaufa is immaculate, the pollo is tender, flavorful and not dry at all. Aji verde was good. The lomo is a little different than what I’m used to, but it was good. My friend loves it. Salsa criolla didn’t have vinegar or was super light on the vinegar which was different for me but still good. Alfajores are on point.

This place is horrible. I see that there are some reviews here raving about their food but that just seems like inexperienced foodies to me. To say that the food there is a massive disapointment, is an understatement. We ordered chicken fried rice, maduros , wontons and fried chicken. The chirraon de pollo was a thin piece chicken breast loaded with so much salt nobody in my home ate it. How could you mess up fried chicken? The fried rice was just okay. The biggest joke (chiste) of the order was the fried wontons that had litteraly so little filling, it was fried wonton wrappers. So for this i am going to say….Ay Jaimito you need better cooking skills! The chino/peruvian thing is not working . Less than 30 minutes later we were all sick. Never again!

Jaimitos is my Only go-to Peruvian food restaurant. I’ve tried so many others in many cities, but Jaimitos have the BEST flavor and good portions. Yes a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. Our favorite dishes are Lomo, Chaufa, Papa huacaina, and fried wonton. my mouth is drooling with the flavors.

I have been eating her since a co worker recommended this place. Their chaufa is amazing and their rotisserie chicken is juicy, finger licking good. I recommend adding one of the Peruvian sodas to make it a great meal!!!
