Did the Sunset Special menu, which gives you an appetizer, main course & dessert from a preset menu. Ordered the mussels in spicy red sauce, as the app. The mussels were practically entry inside. The sauce was good. My wife had the mussels in white wine & here too had nothing in them. Had the short ribs w/ mash potatoes & red cabbage, it was really good. Was celebrating my father’s & brother in law’s birthday & they did these sparkling candles on the dessert & sang happy birthday. Besides the mussels everything was good. Christian was our server & he was fantastic.

We celebrated my son’s high school graduation here with a party of 13 and two toddlers. The service was exceptional! The waiters were very attentive, patient, and helpful from start to finish. We had our own section of the restaurant, which was nice. The food was delicious. It arrived in a timely manner. The drinks were also great! We were able to bring our own cake, and they added a little flare to make it even more special! This was our second time eating here for an occasion, both for my son and at his request, we would definitely visit again!

My family took me here for Mother’s Day and it was an excellent choice. We normally go to Morton’s Steakhouse. This restaurant is not only cheaper but definitely is on par with the quality and service. I have absolutely nothing to complain about. The only thing I can say negatively is, if you are traveling with older people this may not be the restaurant for you as there were many stairs. Other than that, I have nothing bad to say.

Delicious steaks and sides. We had a NY shell steak au poivre and the Jake’s filet mignon with bleu cheese and fried onions. Attentive service. We were upstairs and so we had a lovely view of Van Conrtlandt Park.

I’ve given this place 5 stars because the service was immaculate. From making reservations to the actual dine in service; they were very friendly, accommodating and professional. THEIR ENTIRE STAFF IS BEAUTIFUL. I ordered the skirt steak and it was very tender. My son ordered the seabass and loved the buttery texture and how flavorful it was. My daughter ordered filet mignon and loved how fun the onion decoration looked on top and my husband ordered the chops. However, he didn’t like the mustard sauce, but ate their overly sized thick chops. It was my son’s 21st birthday and he ordered his very first drink at the bar. They were magnificent helping him out. I highly recommend them because this is the type of experience that one hopes for when dining out. You want to feel regal and feeling great on money well spent. ☺️ Thank tou Jake’s!

I cannot think of anything bad to say about this place. I have been here 5 times this year and plan on going back over and over again. The food is delicious. The staff is professional and attentive. The atmosphere is warm. One of thee best steaks in the city by far. The fresh oyster, crab cakes, lobster Mac & cheese are my favorites.

Beautiful place, excellent customer service. I think is somewhat expensive, there is no bread or chips on the table for stated. Most meats don’t come with any complementary/ sides, you have to order it separately.
