I randomly found this place online and went to try it out for the first time today and all I can say is, OH MY LANTA! Upon entering you immediately feel welcomed and are seated fairly quickly. The staff is friendly and they were very well versed and ready with answers to any questions we had about items on the menu. As you look around, you begin to notice all the details within the decor including the carved and painted scenes on the booths and chairs, something I hadn’t seen before (the carvings that is). This place is clean and did not at all feel “grimey”. Portions were large and their Quesataco Birria tacos were amazing. They also have incredible carne asada fries that are hard to come by. Overall this place should be added to your playbook for Mexican food if you’re in the Sherwood area or even just passing through. I highly recommend it!!

My partner and I really enjoy coming here on date nights. It’s our go-to for authentic food. Compliments to the chef. It’s family owned with a great atmosphere. The food is excellent, and it hits home. They also have patio seating available with lights. Too adorable! They serve chips and 3 different kinds of salsa while you wait for your food. Our meal choice was the taco plates, with chorizo and fish. We’ve also tried other menu items, and I will say they never disappoint. Alcohol beverages are available as well.

I was reluctant given some reviews but this was a pleasant surprise! I LOVED the recommended stuffed poblano pepper with added shrimp. I wouldn’t normally order something like this and I’m so grateful I did. This was probably one of the best Mexican dishes I’ve ever had. The crema salsa was perfect with the delicate pepper, cheese, shrimp, and bacon. You gotta try it!!

Went here about 2 years ago and was really good back then. Very disappointed this time! The burrito was no big deal, meat not seasoned, rice and beans with no flavor if it wasn’t for the salsa. Also ordered the “Chile Relleno Plate” and oh man big let down! Portion did not match value or taste. Nice folkloric decor with outdoor seating. Small joint but cozy. Most likely will not be back.

We live in downtown Beaverton. We make the drive down here a couple times a week for their tacos and burritos. The service is great as well. They’re always friendly and accommodating. This will always be a favorite.

I hear good things about this place so i decided to try it. I was disappointed . Service was ok. I was disappointed with the food. I ordered the quesabirrias when they brought them to the table it reminde me of the Jack in the box tacos. Bearly any meat on them. The consome needs improvement. I might give it a try with a different food.

Don’t waste your money! Been to only one Mexican restaurant in Sherwood for over 2 years, Manzanillo’s. Most of the restaurants went to a cheaper sauce according to one owner. Decided to try again this restaurant. They obviously changed sauces again. Serving a disgusting LA Creama meal. Dumping a can of Cambell Soup on the miniscule serving would atleast given the La Creama some flavor! Mixing the rice and beans into the dish didn’t make it any better. They got the score because the service was good. Waste of good money!

We were visiting Newberg and on our way back we stopped actually to get the pizza from Dominoz next door but then changed our mind for all the goodness this place had to offer. It was really a good experience as they customized their menu for our vegetarian needs as well as treated my family really well.

This place used to be great. We liked the salsa bar and atmosphere. After covid this place either was rebranded or bought out. After that our orders were never correct or the portions were smaller and also lost flavor. Would be a 0/5 except the staff is great.
