Great food. Had a combo of curry chicken and jerk chicken. Served with a side of rice and beans, cabbage, and a couple pieces of plantains. Everything was great, especially the jerk chicken which tasted like it was grilled over charcoal. Prices are good too.

To start, I’ve never had authentic Jamaican food. Back home we have a restaurant that does Jamaican style food that’s also locally infused, which is one of my go to places to eat. Now saying all that, I’m glad I’ve never had authentic Jamaican food before, because after trying Jamaican Vybz, I would’ve been totally disappointed with the restaurant back home. Service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious! I had the jerk chicken which had so much flavor and I love the slight kick of spiciness. I ordered the small portion which I regret looking back. It was filling, but I would order a large if you have an appetite. I definitely would go back and recommend for anyone looking for a some good Jamaican food. **Picture doesn’t do the food justice, may not look pretty in a takeout container, but it’s delicious**

The food is good, however, there were pieces of chicken bone in my food. While trying to eat carefully I bit down on a few bones, making it a little difficult to enjoy my food. At some point, the establishment may end up paying for dental bills or a lawsuit.

Not sure why they took the shrimp away but the food is usually banging! I don’t usually eat cabbage cooked or out of salad but this is tasty. I usually Ordered take out and have no issues with them substituting the cabbage for more rice. Which they would allow to exchange for plantains.

Food was great. We had jerk chicken, curry shrimp, oxtails, island fried chix, fried fish, rice and peas, cabbage. Ate family style. Enjoyed everything. Generous portions. Small but clean restaurant. Disappointed that that the Mac and cheese was not available. Will be visiting again.

First time here , I called a few days ago to see if they were open but no answer when I finally got there they were closed so I said I would try again and I called yesterday before I went and the phone was off the hook. I drove there and I went looking for a chicken patty but they didn’t have any. I asked the cashier for “white meat but she mentioned she was new I told her inform the cooks they would know the difference between white and dark meat and either she didn’t relay the message or they didn’t understand because I didn’t get what I requested – I ended up buying 3 dinners 2 brown stew chicken and a curry dinner small (when they say small they mean small) usually Carenas small has a larger portion than what this place serves but I wanted to try it out ! The food smelled so good and actually tasted good better than another place I tried last week in Petersburg therefore I have nothing negative to say about the taste of the food. Rice was good as well I would definitely return! My family also enjoyed their meals. Definitely worth the try if your considering this place. I sat inside the lobby and waited for my food from what I saw place was well kept inside I didn’t see bugs or horrible smells
