Like this is extremely ridiculous…. I tried to check this place out again considering they’re close … I was extremely disappointed in the amount of cheapness they give when it come to food. Like seriously , I’m use to NYC and DC where they fill the plate. This place will give you a plate full of rice , three dried up plantains and a few pieces of oxtail. If I wanted a plate full of rice I would have ordered that, like people are giving you , their money to be satisfied.. this is a rip off and I’m done going there. I’m def going to Junction next time where they cater . I’m over this place , NEVER AGAIN

Tried this place today and I’m in love! Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food they serve you! They have so much on their menu and the food is amazing! I had stew pork, Mac n cheese with coco bread! All I was missing was the scotch bonnet pepper!!! Y’all done won over a happy customer here! I’ll be returning for dinner for the oxtails!!!!!

I haven’t been to this place in awhile, so I figured I would check them out today. I was not happy at all, I ordered a large oxtail with rice and peas and cabbage. They only gave me 4 small pieces of oxtail and the cabbage was hard and tasteless. I didn’t realize this until I got to work. If it wasn’t for me having to work I would have taken it back. If that was a large I can only imagine what a small looks like. The young lady that served me was nice.

I really hate to give this place a bad review because the food here is really good. And being African , I really just enjoy how flavorful the food is . HOWEVER, I really love when the owner is there other than that I don’t like giving this place my money. I went here today with my spouse, I was excited for the food because it’s good and I’m 5 months pregnant and starving . I was upset today at the lack of customer service here today with the young girl and the guy here, no smiles , no greetings , just nothing on top of that , I asked her not to put the scraps of curry goat in my plate , and instead of her getting a new pan , she said to the guy “ Can you do this “ and then he proceeded to find every piece of little scrap he could find to put in my plate . The food isn’t cheap these days , so at least fix the plate accordingly, it’s bad enough that customer service is bad. Smh I hope it gets better

I really don’t know about this place. I came here about a year ago and brought some Curry chicken . The food was okay … However, I didn’t like the lack of customer service so I decided to not spend my money there again. However, I went back today for the first time in almost a year, first off idk if it was the grand daughter or grandson but again the customer service was bland . I ordered the oxtail , rice and peas , which is about $20 I believe. Now what I don’t like is , they make your plates in the back where you can’t see it . Chilllle , I told the young girl , let me see that plate , it looked like a plate for a 4 year old . About 4 pieces of Tasteless oxtails with hardly any meat and it was kind of tough. There was no gravely on the rice and peas and only two plantains ( Really TF) Anyhow, I asked the girl for a little more oxtails and she gone tell me I need to pay more . I was disappointed in the service and the overly expensive child plate . I promise you , I will be going back to Judy’s or Junctions cause this was unexceptable . Please stop robing ppl and giving them scraps

This restauraunt is close to me and I like the choices. The ox tail dinner is pictured and I have ordered this several times. They have many chicken, beef and stew optione. The goat curry I have also ordered. The cashier is nice and personally fixed my order. Home cooked means are always a good thing and you get that here. I like the plaintains as well. They off medium and lunch sizes as well as desserts. They even have a kids meal size.

I appreciate Country Kitchen. The restaurant is clean and the service is friendly. I purchased oxtail, rice n peas, cabbage and plantain. The oxtail and rice were PERFECT. The oxtail was flavorful and tender! The rice was soft and moist. The plantain was not like mom’s, it was tough and dry and the cabbage needed seasoning. Despite the 2 out of 4, I will still go back and get it again because the oxtail was that good!

When i say i felt like i was home and i texted my dad a pic and he said he felt like this was home just from looking at the pic i cannot wait to come back here. A hole on the wall spot off 450 best oxtail I’ve had in a while & I liked the jerk pork . They have shrimp roti which is hard to find , it’s hit or miss with the plantains

My first time going I went at 11am and I found that they had lunch specials which was awesome. I ordered the curry chicken and it was really good and flavorful. I believe my bill was $7. And they were fast with bringing out my food.
