Jamaican Jerk Center is a great place. It’s got a cozy, fun and friendly atmosphere and the staff is really nice and welcoming. I ordered a jerk chicken and a beef hand pie. Sandwhiches come fully dress, but I got lettuce only. The chicken is very good. Took about 15mins to prepare my order but it was hot and freshly prepared. Overall a great experience, I highly recommend it. Next time I’m trying the jerk burger.

The food was good! I had the oxtails and rice and peas and cabbage. Really no complaints other than not having certain food items. I initially ordered the oxtails and they ran out of it and then I wanted chicken wings and that was going to take 45 mins. I did get the oxtails , and I would say that they are the best in Louisville! I will definitely come back but I am going to give them some time to find their groove. I would recommend though!

First off, they’ve moved to a new location across from Harbor Freight near Hikes Ln and Bardstown. The jerk chicken packs a serious punch. Be ready for some spice as I’m still fighting back tears with wonderfully clear sinus passages. The chicken is smoked beautifully and the tender meat falls right off the bone. The meal is probably one of the best values for food you can find. Make sure you let them know if you don’t like spice because this seasoning is legit.

Everything is so bomb I can’t wait to go back.. I got jerk wings with cabbage and rice and peas. Was worried bout the cabbage but wow it’s great. Potato salad, chicken breast, and rum cake was sold out but now I see why. This place is legit!!

How they prepare it and how I destroyed it lol. This food is so good it should be illegal for them to sale lol. This is coming from me someone who thanks their mother and grandmother can’t cook better then him. There is no comparison when it comes to their food. This is easily the best food I ever tasted in my life. Also the owners are very genuine loving caring people. That I will always support!

I visited Jamaican Jerk Center to get a side of their cabbage. Every dish is made to order, so you’ll wait a few minutes. It sneaks up on you: it tastes mild initially, but the spice hits the back of your throat as it goes down. I enjoyed it. I’ll return to try their Jamaican Jerk Bowl, which, according to the menu, includes beef sausage, chicken, green beans and asparagus – sounds delicious! – and is only available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It’s all things Jerk! Go pay a visit, and see if it isn’t worth the wait!

I was hyped to find a Jamaican food spot in Louisville because my ancestry is Jamaican and it’s hard to find good authentic Caribbean food around here.

I’m not impressed at all. When I got there, all they had left was jerk chicken, rice and peas, and cabbage. The chicken was dry and just spicy. No real flavor. The rice and peas were dry and hard. The cabbage was undercooked. I enjoy some bite in my cabbage, but this was just tossed in a pan and put on a plate. I would not recommend it. I overheard the lady at the counter interacting with a nice couple that came in and found out their not even Jamaican but from D.C. ♀️

Excited to try fir for 1st time. Cabbage was pepper, overwhelming. Ox tail was mediocre. Rum cake was a bit dry. Sorrel and ginger drink was refreshing. Will try again and order other menu items.
