10/10 lunch! I love how many vegetarian options there are– it’s not often I leave a place regretful that I couldn’t have tried everything available without meat. The curried chickpeas with peas and cabbage were immaculate, and my partner loved the jerk pork so there’s something for everyone here. We both agreed the cole slaw was great too, which is usually a divisive item. Would definitely love to come back the next time we’re in the area– highly recommend.

Stopped by the Jamaican Kitchen recently and was happy I did. It’s cool knowing I don’t have to drive to the north end for good Caribbean food in Hartford. The stand out for me was the Spicy Beef and cheese Patty. It was warm and super flaky. One of the top Patty’s I’ve had in recent memory. Also got the curry chicken which was pretty good and flavorful. Glad I made the trip and will definitely be going back soon.

Really not sure why this place has a lot of bad reviews, I’ll be honest I was hesitate to order but decided to give it a try! I got coco bread the beef patties and jerk chicken with rice and cabbage. Everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. The coco bread literally melts in your mouth this is my second time trying Jamaican food and I’m highly impressed definitely will order takeout from here again.

I have eaten lots of West Indian food over time, mostly in Hartford. And I must say that my experiences have been great ordering from JK. Both the Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork are great. Well seasoned, authentic, large portions, etc. And the prices are reasonable. Also, some if THE best Carrot Cake I have ever had! Anyway, I have been very happy with JK overall.
