This was our first time in the city so we wanted to be adventurous. We stumbled across Jamaika Flava and decided to try it. Holy cow I am so glad we did! The beef patties were exceptional! The best we have had! I had the curry chicken and it was perfectly mild spice, the gravy and chicken over the rice and peas was a flavor bomb! My fiancee got the jerk chicken and it fell off the bone it was so tender and flavorful! We recommend this small but great place if you are looking to try something new or if you are a fan of Jamaican food

The flavor was spot on for the many times I’ve eaten in Jamaica. The restaurant looked a bit run down, but it’s all about the food, and while the food was good, the protein portion was way too small for a large curry chicken meal. The red bean rice and cabbage had a smooth favor, and the curry sauce from the chicken was very nice. Back to the chicken, I was given one small wing, and two have small wings. ( bone in)

Just Left There a Little While Ago…Food Decent…Got 3 Lunch Specials, & All Were Good…Got Stew, Jerk, & Curry…Bussed Down The Jerk “Nice Kick”, Than The Curry, & & Nibbled On Tha Stew Cause I Wanted 2 Save Some for Later…Stew Could Use Just a Little More Season/Flavor, But All in All I Enjoyed…Side Note, I NEVER Eat Plaintains….It Was Something About His/The Look Which Made Me Try Them…Then I Had More, Than More…Lol…For Me 2 Actually Eat Them, Says Alot; And Just to Think, I Started to Tell Him to Keep Them…They Got a Customer Fa Life, & I Can’t Wait to Come Back Through to Try The Goat

The food here brought me back to that authentic Jamaican flavor I was used to! Very reasonable prices for the portion they give you! Clean and prompt service! For certain dishes….. it’s Best to get there early in the day as possible before they sell out! ‍♂️…overall excellent!

Called to order, woman was very pleasant on the phone. Walked there from my job on my lunch, arrived 15 minutes after I called to order & the restaurant was closed. Now, no one is answering the phone. You’d think she would’ve mentioned they were closing 15 minutes prior when we spoke on the phone. Unprofessional and bad for business. Don’t waste your time.

Food is a hit or miss and that’s only if they have any. The last two times he ran out but was still open to take orders. ‍♀️ and prices don’t make since large is only 2 dollars more than a small.. get the large!

Jerk chicken was all chopped up chicken (bones included) and cold. Curry chicken I was given one rib and all rice. The photos are 100% inaccurate. Everything came in one small container. Very little flavor or heat in either. Tried something new. Sorry, JamaicaCuse is the way to go!

This place is a phenom; I literally felt as if I were in Jamaica enjoying that meal. Everything from the jerk chicken to the plantains and beef patty’s were authentic and full of soul. This place deserves WAY more attention. Artist food and reasonably priced to boot !!
