We start with the service, it was awesome! The lady at the counter was super sweet, and if you never had their food you need to now. I had the Sadie, which is a fat baked potato with brisket, sausage, grilled onions, beans, sour creme, a ton of butter and holy cow it is only $12.00! I added the potato salad and a sweet tea, I really can’t say anything else. I returned today for the “Jambo Texan” some jalapeños, cowboy corn and potato salad. It was well worth the money! $18 for the sando, $1.50 for each jal and $2.50 per side. I snapped a Pic of both the Sadie and JT. Don’t sleep on this spot Burleson, it’s that damn good.

This place is great. I’ve driven past it for years and finally decided to stop by today. I should’ve came by years ago.

Jambos has been my favorite Friday place for many years. The barbecue is excellent but I can’t stay away from the “only on Friday’s” pork chop. Another great choice is the Sadie. It is a potato filled with all the good things you love about barbecue. I hesitate to mention the salmon because it’s only available twice a year. If you get the opportunity to try the smoked salmon, get ready to go into food ecstasy. I’m grateful to have eaten in some truly wonderful restaurants in my life. These folks are a step above because they treat their customers like family. They call you by name, tease like a sibling and cook wonderful food. Recently, they went above and beyond for a family in our community. They already had my devotion but that act of kindness took it up a notch. If you haven’t tried them, do. Don’t wait too long. They close when the barbecue runs out.

This is true Texas BBQ. The ribs were fall off the bone. The sides are delicious, and the flavors are one of a kind. Highly recommended.

Staff was friendly but the food was little off. I usually visit the location in Arlington and really enjoy the food, but today, I was afraid of getting sick. The sausage looked a little off putting but I tried it anyway and I’m praying my family doesn’t get sick. I didn’t take my chance with mac and cheese because it smelled fine but it had a sour taste which I immediately spat out and told my husband and children not to eat it. The only part of my meal I felt okay with eating was the sliced brisket which was PHENOMENAL and the ribs.

Corn was old and tasted funky, the Mac n cheese veryyyy tasteless. The brisket was way too greasy and not good taste at all. Literally puked the food out.

This place is amazing. The food is all very well crafted and it is truly the best BBQ I’ve had. It is not a place you want to miss. The owners are the sweetest folks you’ll ever meet and they go out of their way to make all of their customers feel special. 11 out of 10!

I am always thinking about what my favorite BBQ in DFW is and Jambo’s Original is near the top of my thoughts. Some BBQ places can do a smoke & mirror act by serving Prime grade brisket which will almost always taste great even with an amateur pitmaster smoking it. At Jambo’s Original I am sure the brisket is not higher than Choice grade and it is absolutely amazing. The seasoning and smoke level are perfect. The brisket is moist and falls apart easy. If an amazing brisket isn’t enough, their pork ribs are absolutely perfect. They have a sweet flavor and they are tender. They don’t “fall-off” the bone but they easily pull off the bone. They are also beautiful to look at. The sides are very good and the service was great. If there is a definition of a true off the beaten path Texas BBQ I do believe it is Original Jambo’s in Rendon.

I’ll always order sliced brisket at a new bbq joint and early today I happened to get it on a sandwich to eat on the road. It was so tasty part of me didn’t want to finish it, and the burnt ends I made sure to save until we made it to work. There is a great atmosphere inside too, with friendly staff and plenty of awards along the walls to look at.
