I absolutely LOVE The Hattie! I just started eating chicken salad last year and had tried it at a few places. It was okay. But then I tried it here and wow!! I regretted never having come here to eat it all of these years. It’s truly AMAZING! It’s a simple recipe and not overpowering. Pair it with a soda and chips and it’s the perfect combo! I love it so much and can’t wait to go back and get another! Definitely check out this hole in the wall spot in Covington, VA!

Loved this place. Don’t be fooled by the front, the inside is very clean and cozy. I had a loaded potato ans it was awesome and very filling. Service was surprisingly quick and very courteous. They were very accurate at taking and filling your order even when you have special requests. The food tastes fresh and I think the dressing was made there.

One of our favorite spots for a quick lunch. The service is always friendly, we just love the staff (as does our baby girl), the food is good and you know it’s being made fresh in the kitchen when you order. The Macaroni Salad is especially delicious and you can’t go wrong with any of the desserts.

Reasonably priced sandwich shop that was formerly a home. Wonderful “homey” atmosphere. Menu varies slightly seasonally. A little better signage out front would be beneficial.

Great place for lunch in downtown Covington. Wait staff was extremely friendly. Food came out quickly and was good and great prices. I got the tuna salad and my husband got a roast beef sandwich with au jus. It was cash only the day we went but an atm was right across the street.
