Opened in 1944 by Jim “Jamil” Elias and passed down to his son, Tyrone Elias. It is continued by his daughter, Jennifer.

Gotta say, First timer here and fell in love instantly! Very nice old school dark atmosphere with a great decor. My waiter Jack provided me with outstanding service. It’s a family affair here, his mother came out and checked on me to make sure my meal was satisfactory. Indeed it was. I ordered a ribeye medium rare and it came with a basket of ribs, fried bologna and tabouli. What a deal! That basket was an amazing start and finished off with a perfectly cooked steak.

Food is amazing! 5 stars on everything! Our waitress was very attentive and always refilled my glass and took good care of us. The steak was very tender, flavorful, and great quality. You get a lot of food and all of is so good. I am impressed!

Everything was absolutely delicious! The T-bone steak had a great cedar on the outside and was perfectly medium rare plus on the inside. The owner greeted me when we came in and, Jack our favorite server was on target. I heard him explaining the different types of steaks to a new Table our drinks were consistently refilled and everything was just great! The ribs were fantastic. This restaurant has been our go to family restaurant for special occasions since the mid-70s. Well there are occasional problems with inconsistency over the years generally speaking it’s just been great.

The prices are too high, even though the food is good and they bring you the cabbage roll, relish tray etc. For a fine dining restaurant and menu prices, I really expect linen tablecloths, heavy high quality knife fork and spoons and have more than one waiter working the restaurant by himself. The service is adequate but not worth a 20% gratuity expected for the amount of money being charged

30 years ago my wife and I lived across the street from Jamil’s at their original location on 51st and ate there at least twice a week. We moved away years ago and had the good fortune of having dinner there tonight. The meal was as great as it was 30 years ago. Steaks were cooked perfectly and our personal favorites the ribs and bologna were outstanding. Jack, our server, was great and very attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will be back again on our next visit to Tulsa.

I have been going to this steakhouse for 25 years the place is mint clean , friendly service , owners with friendly and welcoming smile face they always cheer u up and make u home away from home , The big o juicy steak Cooked to order as I requested and loved medium rare couldn’t get any better taste , love this place as I love the way they treat their customers!!
