During a recent visit to Boston, I was missing the Armenian food I grew up eating, so we headed to Watertown for dinner. It was great! Our waiter Victor was friendly, attentive, and enthusiastic about the food. We ordered a Georgian flatbread (Khachapuri) to share as an appetizer and each choose a kebab entree. Delicious! My husband especially enjoyed his soojookh kebab, which is more spicy. And my husband and son tried some beer from the menu, which includes options from around the world. (FYI- the restaurant has a parking lot behind it off of Watertown Street, and some street parking on Galen Street)

We came down from Maine to spend a day in Boston. We are blessed we found this Russian restaurant. I visited dozens of Russian restaurants in the USA but this one is one of the best. The food, the service and the atmosphere deserve 10 out of 10 stars! Very affordable prices! Highly recommended! Next time in Boston will definitely come again!

Food was very good! Portions were small and service was incredibly slow even though there were only 8 other people in the restaurant. Our server Julia had taken 15 minutes to even give us water after she had seated us. After waiting another 10 minutes she had came by to take our order. We had order hummus with pita chips, hummus was tasty, but it only came with 10 chips. Boneless lamb which was very tasty, and a meat plate. The meat plate was good, but our server did not ask us if we wanted a small or large so we paid almost 30 dollars for the plate. After ordering we waited 15 minutes for the hummus, 25 minutes for the lamb and 30 minutes for the meat plate. I was surprised how unfriendly the service was and how slow it was. Overall will never dine in again, but would consider take out if the prices were slightly lower after spending almost 90 dollars on lunch.

Jana’s has become a favorite in our family. Dine in or take out always a great experience. My kids LOVE the rice pilaf, lentil soup and Russian soup (I forgot the name but it has meat dumplings inside). My husband and I really enjoy all the meats and homemade sauces. My family was visiting a week ago and we had to take them to Jana’s. When my mom tried the grilled chicken she literally said: “wow, this is probably the best grilled chicken I have ever tried” The food is really tasty and the meats are always grill to perfection. We also love the warm and homey atmosphere.

Jana is back and open and I love it! Went for lunch with my coworker. She got the falafel wrap and fried potatoes, I got the Lebanese kefta and hummus. So fresh, so good. Inside was nice and cool and the staff was friendly as ever. Missed this spot so much. So happy they’re open again.
