Jasmine is a well-decorated hole-in-the-wall with a big menu. And overall, our experience was good! The service was friendly and we had a smooth process of being seated, ordering, and heading out. We only had to seek out service at the end when we needed to pay, which we sought after waiting 15 minutes without seeing a server. The pricing is okay. Fair for what you get. The flavors exceed most local take-out style restaurants in the same category, but this isn’t a destination restaurant. Perfect for delivery when you don’t want to cook or travel.

Tonight was my first time ordering from Jasmine to try their sushi. I got two specialty rolls – the Leesburg and Supersonic. The Leesburg didn’t have much flavor to it but the Supersonic was very good. The quality of the sushi was good but I was very disappointed in the size of the roll and amount of filling for the price which is why I deducted a star (I’d give 3.5 if I could). The size of the specialty roll is what I would expect for a regular house roll like an Alaska or Salmon roll, etc. but double the price of a house roll. These specialty rolls are VERY small for the price and compared to all the other sushi places I’ve had in the past. The flavor is great but not sure how often I would order from here based on price for the portion.

Finally found some clean and tasty Chinese food, thanks to my friends at “NextDoor” for recommending Jasmine! The Egg Foo Young came with a wonderful brown sauce! (which my family raved about)! The Singapore Style Noodles were very tasty. (other places I tried had the spice ‘caked up’ so I’d get a mouth-full of mainly spice) I’d say the difference here is the quality of the ingredients and the care taken while cooking is spot on! If you get the chance I’d recommend trying this place out!

The menu is extensive, with an entire separate menu for sushi, sashimi, and nigiri. We ate outside, which allowed the kids to run around on a soft summer evening. Moderate prices – a California roll with 6 pieces = $7, a spider roll with 10 pieces = $13.

Had a delicious lunch at Jasmine today. They have a great and affordable lunch menu with quite a few choices including sushi. The food was fresh, piping hot, and the lunch portions were perfectly sized. Service was stellar. Will come back to this warm and cozy restaurant soon to try the dinner menu!
