We’re Java Cafe, and we’ve been a coffee shop here in South Bend, IN, since 2021. We specialize in everything being made fresh in-house with vegan options, and we offer breakfast, coffee, tea, sandwiches, and more. Todd Rippo founded Java Cafe in November of 1991 as a place where he’d want to hang out: a rock n’ roll atmosphere where all are welcome, the music is a little loud, and the coffee is fresh roasted and fair trade. Thirty years later, Todd’s legacy lives on with the newest addition to the Java family. We’re looking forward to partnering with Mishawaka, Plymouth, and Goshen consumers to continue to offer a premier cafe experience. Now, this is some next level stuff right here. First the place is so cool. It’s modern with a rock and roll vibe. The food is awesome. I’m partial to the eggs Benedict. The BOWL OF SOUL coffee is a must try. I get it every time.

Three of us came into the shop for lunch at 1pm. Two ordered, then we were told the third person couldn’t order because food service was done for the day. Who does that???! HA! The owner’s response! Nowhere in the shop does it say the kitchen closes at 1pm (a normal time to have lunch) nor does that excuse letting two people in one party order lunch and then telling the third the kitchen is closed. Ludicrous. Go elsewhere.
