Inflated Google reviews claim yet another victim. I’m only disappointed in myself for being optimistic that this place might actually have decent food. If you’re here for the TLDR version here it is – there is a chain that rhymes with Chip-Goat-Lay that does it better for less. I’m not one to recommend a chain, and really, I’m not. What I’m saying is that if you’re thinking about Javi’s you should instead walk, no run, to the chain and go home slightly satisfied.

Excellent quesadilla! I really liked my carnitas burrito with everything on it. Filling and a pretty reasonable price for everything on the menu considering how large the portions are.

This is my first time ordering from this location but when I ordered the food it said it would be ready at 1:22pm, and I didn’t get my food til 2pm. I thought I ordered a loaded breakfast burrito but I guess I put it in as a bowl, so my fault on that part. I asked if I could buy a tortilla and the guy put in a $13 burrito and started putting no protein, no rice, no beans. I’m not paying $13 for just a tortilla and I asked “so you don’t have just a tortilla?” And he started telling me no until his coworker came in and changed it to a $1 tortilla.

You wouldn’t expect this level of excellence from a “fast food style” Mexican Restaurant, but there is nothing quick about the food there, trust me! It’s made fresh and served with love, the flavor and options are bar none! I would recommend to anyone wanting to grab some Mexican food in Omaha! The owner is also great and the staff are friendly!

Had our son’s family birthday dinner at the Lakeside location tonight (he wanted street tacos) and had an amazing time/experience! It was our first time eating here and we had about 16 people in our party. The staff allowed us to arrange tables so we could all sit together, and they were all so kind and patient as we navigated through the ordering process. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced! The manager came out to check on us and Alejandro came out to make sure we were happy with the service and food! We didn’t catch the names of everyone working, but we did get a picture of them with the birthday boy. Thank you so much for the delicious food and for being so accommodating, we will DEFINITELY be back!!

Omgoodness, the burritos were amazing and huge. There were so many choices I wanted some of everything on mine (totally an option), however, I restrained myself. We had four burritos with different meat choices, rice choices, beans, toppings, and sauces and all of them were very tasty. Every member of the staff we encountered were super kind, upbeat, and helpful. They made eye contact and a little conversation. We will definitely be returning! Thanks Javi’s!

A casual sit down taco place. Birria tacos are always a solid choice. The margarita’s are very sugary, but theyre strong. Seating area atmosphere is your typical “chipotle” or “Qdoba” style seating. Staff is friendly.

The staff were very helpful and pleasant. They made an awesome recommendation, even suggesting the perfect salsas and add-ins. It was the right amount of crunch with tender meat. Everything from the salsa to the cilantro rice had excellent flavor. Will definitely be going back again.
