Prices are ridiculous, we paid an insane amount for a regular sized cheese curd and literally only got the bottom of the bag lined, their food is just going down in quality and I’m really upset that we just spent this much money on 10 cheese curds not even. Next time I’ll drive the extra 30 minutes round trip to go to the drive in in Byron. It’s sad how far this restaurant has fallen compared to last fall. I feel like I’ve literally been robbed.

Dining room was hot. No prices on menu board. Prices are too high for what you get. Waited on food for over 35 minutes and they were NOT busy. Food was mediocre, at best. Very disappointing. Drove from Freeport to come here. Not worth the drive.

I visited Jay’s Drive In for the first time. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because it was quite warm in there…no a/c. I don’t know if it was broken or if it is usually warm. The food and service was great though!!! I had the banana split with hard ice cream and it was delicious!

The pork tenderloin was as good as I remember. One member of my group uses a walker and she found it difficult getting around. When we were eating we weren’t sure where to put her walker so we pushed in the chairs between the 2 tables across from us. If anyone would have needed those tables we don’t know what we would have done.

This is such a fun, nostalgic place that is great for everyone of all ages. Dine in or pull up outside and experience the car hops. The food is great and the ice cream and root beer is phenomenal. Afterwards, walk it all off by the nearby Rock River. Stop by and try it, I promise you will want to go back.
