Flat out best BBQ my wife and tried so far in ALL of North Texas! We ordered the ribs plate, 1/2 lb of brisket & 1/2 lb order of sausage, meat is amazing! First mayo-less coleslaw I’ve ever tasted and it was sweet and tangy, didn’t know that was possible with coleslaw! Drove all the way from Melissa! Coming back with friends!

Stopped by there last week. My first time there. I had the brisket and sausage. My mom and I thought it was very good. I can highly recommend this place.

If you’re looking for a great BBQ place in Gainesville you need to check out Jaz’s BBQ on the corner of Bird and Weaver streets. I got the sliced brisket plate with potato salad and beans. The brisket had a nice smoke ring and great even without the bbq sauce. The potato salad and the beans though! Oh my those were absolutely amazing! Go check out Jaz!

We were looking for a good local place. This was it! We had 5 people and asked for a platter of food. Could not have been better. They had 2 picnic tables outside and made for a wonderful picnic. We had a box of brisket, ribs and sausage. Sides of pinto beans potato salad and slaw. Friendly people.

Best barbecue I’ve ever had… The Brisket is perfect! It falls apart so much it’s hard to even pick up! The ribs fell off the bone with just a touch. The owner, Mark, has the SECRET of barbecue. Whoever rated this place 4 stars was competition because no one in their right mind could rate this less than 5. The area it was in was hard to find due to a lot of construction problems and bad road work, but I promise you if you make the trip out there, you will not regret it. We make trips all the way from Oklahoma just to get barbecue!

I stopped by this place about 30 minutes before they closed. I have been to sampling some of the local BBQ since moving up here from central TX last year. Based on the reviews I was hoping to be impressed, I was not. I ordered a combo beef and sausage with potato salad and beans. Brisket was very dry, if not for the sauce which was good I probably wouldn’t have eaten the brisket. The sausage was also very dry although it had a great flavor, although it seemed as though it had been sitting around drying out. I usually love these little hole-in-the-wall places because they can be true gems, unfortunately this was not one of those. For reference I will try again earlier in the day and report back then.

This is the real Texas bbq. A shack on the side of the road, serving some of the best melt-in-your-mouth brisket you’ll ever have.

Best BBQ I’ve had in a long time, not to mention reasonable priced!! I got a huge serving of ribs and brisket with 2 sides and paid less then I’ve ever paid for BBQ this good.. The man that owns this perfect little spot was so kind. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the food.
