Our first visit to JC Bruno was a success. I’ve seen the restaurants since it opened up and had wanted to go. Last night. We decided for our anniversary to try them out. We were not disappointed. If they are offering the seafood pasta, go for it. I was nervous about it but my husband tried it and it was amazing!

We absolutely love this restaurant. Bruno tartar is fabulous. Love the beautifully prepared actually rare rib eye steak and lamb shank. Great scallops and lobster tortellini. Excellent butter sauce. Highly recommend the creme Brulee. Oleg is an excellent and attentive server. Marcella and JC are fantastic! JC is the most excellent chef with attention to detail and flavor. I love ALL the butter!!!!! Lovely outdoor seating environment. Well endowed portions too! It was our 2nd time here and we will be back again!!!

Made reservations for my mom and I for my birthday and so glad I did. We were a bit late due to finding parking, but they were very nice about it. It was PACKED for dinner. Inside is a bit small and crowded, but not uncomfortable. It can get a bit loud, but never too loud. Looking from other tables, the food looked super good and we were excited for ours. We ordered the house salad and mussels to start, the scallops and bouillabaisse for entrees, and tiramisu for dessert.

Stunning venue location for private events. The circumstances of my discovering this place were unfortunate as I was there for a post-funeral luncheon for family and friends. The food was catered, to my knowledge, and the restaurant wasn’t open yet. The service staff were incredibly respectful and efficient, and the venue itself was stunning. The only negative thing is that due to its proximity to the airport, there were moments when all anyone could hear was a plane taking off overhead. I would strongly consider this place for a private event.

Found JC Bruno with a basic Google search. Pleasantly surprised once I got here. Very small and quaint place. Food was extremely fresh and service was with a smile. Be prepared to walk though. San Bruno downtown has street parking only.

Food was delicious, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Decent options and variety the rack of lamb was perfectly. The pizza was big but lacked good flavor and the veggies were a little under cooked for pizza and the chicken was a little bland. Decent beer and wine options with fairly attentive server. We did go in about 30 after they opened on a Friday so it was a little bit of a slow start. We’ll be going back to try some other options.

This place is charmingly unhip. It presents itself as an old school fine dining establishment and on that it delivers. From the elevator music, to the mustard-colored tufted bench seats, everything about this place communicates that it’s the food that’s interesting. And the food was uniformly excellent with enough of the chef’s touch to be creative without getting weird about it. A lovely dining experience.
