The beef and house special rice noodles are the go to deals for a great family meal. Call ahead and order for take out. There is no dine in option here but you could always chow down in the car. You can buy fresh rice noodles by the pound in flat sheet or cut too.

JC Rice Noodle’s definitely one of those places that are super easy to pass right by, and so I’m especially glad that I gave it a shot. Definitely not your sit-down restaurant affair—more of a combination food stand and East Asian-specialty corner store—but my vegetable chow fun (suggested by the cashier) was cooked to perfection, super fresh, and seasoned just lightly enough. Wonderfully friendly staff, and the wait was quite short.

Don’t be fooled by the exterior, like I was. I thought that they just made noodles. But, they actually sell several dishes to go that use their fresh noodles, and they are fantastic!

Love this place for their fresh rice noodles. They also can cut it up for you if requested. I’ve had a couple friends mention they’ve ordered the entrees and had good reviews as well! Funny thing is that however many lbs you order, they always add a couple lbs extra. Doesn’t hurt to have more and to support a small business though.

From the outside of this shop you might be surprised. The food however is amazing. One of the best chow fun I’ve tried and it’s like 2 portion sized worth! I would definitely come back. Only complaint is that it’s a tiny bit too salty but that’s okay. Beef was good, love the portion size for meat and noodles. The food was done fast and hot/fresh!

The Beef Chow Fun is delicious! It’s like if broccoli beef and drunken noodles had a delicious umami baby. The servings are *very* generous, too. This place is not really a restaurant, so it’s best to call in your order and pick it up. They make their amazing fresh noodles and tofu for distribution to restaurants. They also make their own soy milk and it is tasty! The service is super fast and the employees are really nice and helpful. Don’t be put off by the place- the front counter area is essentially used for storage. Definitely a hidden gem in SE Portland.
