J & D Good Taste Restaurant is a neighborhood destination inspired by the sights and cuisine of the Jamaican and Haitian mainlands. While we are a new establishment our Chef and kitchen staff have been preparing Caribbean delicacies and serving our communities for a number of years.
We aim to delight our customers with the vibrant flavors and colors of Jamaica and Haiti thus we always see for fresh and high quality produce in preparing our menu. We believe fresh food created with passion, and using real ingredients, simply tastes better.

Ordered off ubereats, received 3 hard old Haitian patties, so dried out you couldn’t even eat the filling. The boullete had ZERO taste and mushy texture. The only good thing was the lemonade. I truly wished I didn’t waste my money, and I barely write reviews but I was starving and this was a huge let down. No excuses for this mess.

Just ordered from this place for the 1st time. And I’m sure it will be the only time. I ordered the Oxtail dinner and the oxtails were very dry as if they were very over cooked or they were old recycled from a previous day or two. Either way, that were not of quality at all. The flavors were there but the meat was supposed to be the Star. I’ll will move along and take my business elsewhere. Maybe you should consider not giving them a try.

Don’t waste your time driving here, came across town 20 min in traffic just for the order I Called in (he confirmed 15min come) to not even be ready, the woman said “I didn’t answer the phone” so she couldn’t help me. When I told her a man did she just shrugged her shoulders. Professionalism 0.

Ordered from Uber eats a couple times, until I got the fried whiting and rice and peas. The fish tasted very stale and hard to chew. The rice and peas was too dry and the bean sauce need more flavor and the fried dumplings were too oily. Besides that the plantain was good and the drinks were good.

I ordered the curry goat medium meal. The rice and plantains were perfect. I can’t say the same about the goat. I hardly got any meat. Nothing but bones and fat. I’m turned off by that. Probably wouldn’t be my choice to get that choice of dinner again.

If it’s not one of their frozen Pattie’s this place is not it. Got the oxtail and jerk pork with rice and peas. Rice was fine and they even throw in plantains. The pork however is terrible. Hard overcooked smothered in oil. The 5 oxtails that came in the LARGE were okay
