Pretty disappointing to come back to Mankato and have a place like this replace some of my childhood favorites. We ordered burgers and wings and I didn’t think it was possible to make them this bad. I would like to believe there is some kind of standard in hiring and training servers which brings into question the quality of management. The service was just so bad. Coming from a military family this place was recommended as a place to go to “feel right at home”. Also, I am pretty sure it was the manager who was sitting at the bar but it hard to tell since it looked like the tail wagging the dog. Needless to say, we will not be returning here and when I come back to visit MN I am expecting a new establishment to replace this one so I can eat there instead.

I remember being excited to try this place out because they have axe-throwing there. I walked inside and I was immediately unimpressed. I checked out the axe-throwing space, but the lanes seem far too narrow to comfortably throw an axe. It isn’t welcoming to walk into. Nobody greeted me as I walked in and around the place.

Me and my son stopped in from out of town. The bartender said he was new and that he used to be a cook there, but he did very well. The service was great. My son just turned 18 and made his first pull tab purchase. We had a good time.. I’d go back

I was just there last Friday for the first time. We had some drinks & nachos and queso. The queso was amazing (best ever – even a little heat to it). We sat at the bar and the Bartender was fantastic. While I was there Friday I reserved a lane for axe throwing for Sunday.

Great spot downtown Kato! They have bar seating from the patio, yet you can still feel the AC from inside. It’s perfect. Thursday night is ladies night, so margaritas were $3 and domestic beers were $1.50. Pat made tasty lime margs – had had a touch of pineapple juice. Skyler was a cool bartender too. Food was excellent. Chicken wings were good, and I would get the Pickaxe Chicken Sandwich again. They have axe throwing and a few other activities.

Great bar if you want a more calm place to have drinks. Awesome games to play with people and drinks are a good price compared to some other bars. However, I do recommend bringing cash if you don’t want to use an ATM because the games require quarters.

This place is such a great experience!!! Pat and Josie gave us amazing service and made our dinner so fun. The food is absolutely amazing, nachos, burgers and the chicken wrap was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was so fun and such a vibe!!! Definitely worth making a trip here, we drove over an hour just to try it and it did not disappoint!!!!

After 45 minutes of watching 3 servers walk around, I finally got up and asked if we could order drinks and get menus. We quick ordered something before the server left to which we waited another 45 minutes before we got our bar food off their limited menu (not the normal menu). No refills or napkins, ketchup, etc later….the GM noticed and fixed everything. She was awesome and I appreciate her. Hence 3 stars instead of 1.
