Amazing ribs! We came here on our way to the Brazos Bent State Park, and stopped for lunch. it is a simple BBQ place with a lot of character and very nice staff. We had ribs and pulled pork, along with a cooked cabbage. everything was perfect.

Delicious food, ordered a 3 meat plate. Had the brisket,sausage,chicken, was really good price was great as the portions were great in size. Plenty of food no matter the appetite. Service was excellent very friendly. Definitely will be returning. Eating area is outdoors and have shaded seating or in the sun.

As I was traveling back from Brazos State Park, I saw this place in the mail and decided to try it, and not an I glad I stopped! The food was delicious! I got the ribs, sausage, and brisket, which came with two sides and a can of soda. I chose the onion rings and the potato salad; the onion rings tasted great and had a satisfying crunch to them, and the potato salads was flavorful and a good pairing with the bbq. Just ate lunch here with my coworker. It was the first time here for both of us. Very friendly staff/owner! The portions were very generous, and the pricing was reasonable compared to other BBQ joints. I got the chopped beef sandwich, onion rings and fried okra. Everything was delicious! A delicious stop on our way back from Brazos Bend State Park! I had the 2 Meat Plate with brisket and sausage–both very tender and flavorful. My sides were fried okra and potato salad, which really hit the spot. The quiet atmosphere and outdoor seating were very appealing. The folks working there are very friendly and attentive. DON’T MISS IT! It’s about 2 miles from 288, so it’s very convenient for travelers.
