I called ahead with my large party and they said they would have space. We got there and we had to sit around a large fireplace. (Because there wasn’t space) it was hard to talk to each other and share, but ‍♀️. We asked the server about the spice level and she said it wasn’t too bad but it was too spicy for the teens in my group. She didn’t check on us except for when we asked.for more water. The guac was good. The chimichurri steak was amazing. Probably won’t go here again.

This was a beautiful place and location. Service was bare minimum. Our waitress Michele was hanging out, talking to some friend in her salon days. Two servers twice had to take our drink and food order before getting Michele attention. I asked about the owner to see what inspired this American infused Mexican diner, it appears his name is Clay and was unavailable to give his vision. Food was 6 out of 10. Starting with the food. The long strips of what they call asada looks like brisket and is not easy to eat as you would normal diced tacos de asada, so the 3-4 strips of stake that you are getting in your tacos can go all in one bite leaving you with half a tortilla hanging. The flautas as an appetizer are the huge pictured flour tortillas balls.. this is why I call it American infused because typically flautas are corn rolled into taquito form than deep fried. The flautas were not to my taste, very bland and if it weren’t for the guacamole I probably wouldn’t sent this plate back. The salsa is NOT at all spicy, I talked to a cook and he said because that’s what the owners want.. OWNERS.. but me as a customer.. going to a MEXICAN restaurant, I am going to want spice. The drinks were very plain. They advertise beautiful drinks but maybe i was the one customer they didn’t want to impress ‍♀️. Clay, if you are reading this, amazing location and beautiful inside of a restaurant you have, the food was unfortunately not what we expected or what instagram has for what you offer. I am @ketoliciouscarbie.

I love their unique brunch items! I am always torn whether to get the razor clams, which are delicious or the chilaquiles with the barbacoa beef! Both options are two of my favorites! The sweet cream pancakes are great too and I love a few bites with my savory breakfast! The cocktails and coffee are good also! Sitting out on the patio is wonderful and I love that my pup is welcome. The service is consistently perfect!

A great brunch alternative to some other nearby restaurants. The wait time was minimal but not indicative of the food quality or service.

Had high hopes based on the reviews, the menu and the ambiance. The best item we ordered was the chips and salsa. Their corn tortilla is horrible. I took one bite and ended up just eating the inside of my tacos. It was thick and tough. Most of the dishes weren’t tasty. Service was good in the beginning and then it wasn’t. Waited awhile and asked twice for a refill of water. We wouldn’t go back.

It’s been a long time since I have had some really good food and all around dining experience. Can’t recommend this place enough.

We showed up without a reservation on a Thursday night, and we’re surprised at how busy Jefe was, and yet we were promptly seated in a booth, with minimal wait for service. Our server was wonderful and gave us some great tips on the drinks. They have a delicious pineapple poblano vodka they infuse themselves, and it didn’t disappoint! The horchata colada was also pretty delicious. The food was great – we had questions fundido for starter, and then I had the barbacoa burrito, which was both delicious and satisfying. The atmosphere was really nice – energetic but not boisterous, and the decor and feel of the place was really comfortable and inviting. We spent about $100ish all up, which for a shared starter, two mains, four cocktails, and tip is pretty good. Thanks, Jefe, for a wonderful birthday dinner!

The food was pretty good, maybe not as excellent as the very fancy styling and prices would have suggested.
